The US military Calls Julian Assange & WikiLeaks 'Enemy of State'

The US military Calls Julian Assange & WikiLeaks 'enemy of state'

The US military has designated Julian Assange and WikiLeaks as enemies of the United States - the same legal category as the al-Qaeda terrorist network and the Taliban insurgency. Declassified US Air Force counter-intelligence documents, released under US freedom-of-information laws, reveal that military personnel who contact WikiLeaks or WikiLeaks supporters may be at risk of being charged with "communicating with the enemy", a military crime that carries a maximum sentence of death. The documents, some originally classified "Secret/NoForn" - not releasable to non-US nationals - record a probe by the air force's Office of Special Investigations into a cyber systems analyst based in Britain who allegedly expressed support for WikiLeaks and attended pro-Assange demonstrations in London. The counter-intelligence investigation focused on whether the analyst, who had a top-secret security clearance and access to the US military's Secret Internet Protocol Router network, had disclosed classified or sensitive information to WikiLeaks supporters, described as an "anti-US and/or anti-military group".
The suspected offence was "communicating with the enemy, 104-D", an article in the US Uniform Code of Military Justice that prohibits military personnel from "communicating, corresponding or holding intercourse with the enemy". The analyst's access to classified information was suspended. However, the investigators closed the case without laying charges. The analyst denied leaking information. Mr Assange remains holed up in Ecuador's embassy in London. He was granted diplomatic asylum on the grounds that if extradited to Sweden to be questioned about sexual assault allegations, he would be at risk of extradition to the US to face espionage or conspiracy charges arising from the leaking of hundreds of thousands of secret US military and diplomatic reports.
US Vice-President Joe Biden labelled Mr Assange a "high-tech terrorist" in December 2010 and US congressional leaders have called for him to be charged with espionage. Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee - both once involved in presidential campaigns - have both urged that Mr Assange be "hunted down".
Mr Assange's US attorney, Michael Ratner, said the designation of WikiLeaks as an "enemy" had serious implications for the WikiLeaks publisher if he were to be extradited to the US, including possible military detention. US Army private Bradley Manning faces a court martial charged with aiding the enemy - identified as al-Qaeda - by transmitting information that, published by WikiLeaks, became available to the enemy. Mr Ratner said that under US law it would most likely have been considered criminal for the US Air Force analyst to communicate classified material to journalists and publishers, but those journalists and publishers would not have been considered the enemy or prosecuted.
"However, in the FOI documents there is no allegation of any actual communication for publication that would aid an enemy of the United States such as al-Qaeda, nor are there allegations that WikiLeaks published such information," he said.
"Almost the entire set of documents is concerned with the analyst's communications with people close to and supporters of Julian Assange and WikiLeaks, with the worry that she would disclose classified documents to Julian Assange and WikiLeaks. "It appears that Julian Assange and WikiLeaks are the 'enemy'. An enemy is dealt with under the laws of war, which could include killing, capturing, detaining without trial, etc."

Hackers Shutdown Several Swedish Government Websites (#OpFreeAssange)

Hackers Shutdown Several Swedish Government Websites (#OpFreeAssange)

Operation Free Assange dubbed '#OpFreeAssange' continues. After British Home Office, Ministry of Justice and Hertfordshire Police now the supporter of  WikiLeaks have targeted several Swedish government websites. As expected here also the attacker follows the same mechanism and that is massive denial of service (DDoS), which effected the websites of the Swedish government portal, Armed Forces and the Swedish Institute. Niklas Englund, head of digital media at the Swedish Armed Forces, said it was unclear who was behind the so-called denial-of-service attacks, in which websites are overwhelmed with bogus traffic. But he noted that an unidentified group urging Sweden to take its ‘‘hands off Assange’’ claimed responsibility on Twitter. So far it is not clear whether the hacker is linked with infamous hacker collective group Anonymous. But we all know that not only Anon, but also hackers from different part of the world has already joined  #OpFreeAssange. This protest has becoming wilder day by day as activist are hitting hundreds & thousands of websites based on Europe, mainly UK everyday.
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been sheltering at Ecuador’s Embassy in Britain since June 19 in an effort to avoid extradition to Sweden, where prosecutors want to question the founder of the secret-spilling WikiLeaks site over alleged sex crimes.

#OpFreeAssange -Hertfordshire Police Website Hacked & Login Information Stolen

#OpFreeAssange -Hertfordshire Police Website Hacked & Login Information Stolen

Just few days ago hacktivist group Anonymous strikes on the cyber fence of UK Government, and sent Ministry of Justice and the Britis Home Office offline for certain period of time. The motive of the cyber attack was directly linked with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange extradition. Not only Anonymous, but also hackers from different part of globe joined 'Operation Free Assange' dubbed '#OpFreeAssange'. As a result  A hacker codenamed '0x00x00' has posted online what appears to be login information for police officers in the Hertfordshire and Nottinghamshire constabularies. The usernames, passwords and PINs were posted to Pastebin on Thursday, along with the banner 'OpFreeAssange' and a quote from Wikileaks founder. The hacker said in the Pastebin document: "This is nothing big not some l33t h4x shit ... but this tells how insecure the Web is." A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Constabulary said in a statement that, following initial inquiries, the force was "confident at this stage that no restricted or confidential information was accessed or databases compromised". "We continue to investigate and have taken steps to further strengthen security around our website as a precaution," the statement continued. In a statement, Hertfordshire Constabulary said it was investigating the breach, and confirmed that the information had been "stored on a database linked to the public Safer Neighbourhoods pages of the external Constabulary website".
This is not the very first time, earlier hackers have targeted website of Police Dept many times. A hacker group named Redhack hit Turkish Police Dept and stolen 850+ police officers details. Also hacker from Anonymous has exposed 600 MB of Personal Data of Boston Police Patrolmens Association (BPPA). Also for #OpPiggyBank Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police & Salt Lake City Police Department Hacked by Anonymous. In 2011Austrian PoliceChicago Police Department also get hacked By Anonymous where more 25K+ Officers Personal Data get leaked.

Anonymous Hit Ministry of Justice & British Home Office Over Protest Against Assange Case

Anonymous Hit Ministry of Justice & British Home Office Over Protest Against Assange Case

Hacker collective Anonymous again stand for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. This time hackers affiliated with Anonymous have targeted a few British government websites in the last 24 hours. The hacker group claimed responsibility on Twitter for the denial-of-service attacks which affected the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office"Justice.gov.uk seems to be offline. Odd. #Anonymous #Assange," said a posting on the group's Twitter website at the time of the attacks on Monday night. It later added: "Sorry for the delay Forgot to say no3 #TangoDown aprox 1 hour ago ;) number10.gov.uk/ #OpFreeAssange."
The incident comes as the Wikileaks founder is staying at Ecuador's embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden over sex assault claims, which he denies. He was granted asylum by Ecuador last week. He has been at the embassy since June and on Sunday addressed crowds of his supporters from the embassy's balcony, thanking Ecuador and other South American countries for their support. The UK has insisted it is obliged to extradite Mr Assange, 41, and wants a "diplomatic solution", making clear that Mr Assange will be arrested if he leaves the embassy.
Downing Street, the office of Prime Minister David Cameron, and the Home Office said attempts to disrupt the work of their sites had failed or caused minor problems, although the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said the attack had affected its website. This is not the very first time, few months ago (April, This year) Anonymous engaged massive cyber attack which bring down British Prime Minister’s Office, Home Office & Ministry of Justice. We would also like to remind you another instance, where both members of the hacktivist group, Anonymous and supporters of Julian Assange stood together outside of the Supreme Court in London to protest against the extradition of the Wikileaks founder to Sweden.

WikiLeaks Again Under DDoS Attack For Last 5 Days

WikiLeaks Again Under DDoS Attack For Last 5 Days

Yet again Wikileaks official website faced denial of service attack. Earlier we have seen two similar attack, first it was in 2011 when  an Anonymous member took responsibility of that Attack on Wikileaks website. That  time the attacker executed a massive Denial of Service while using newly developed tool #refref. In an exlusive report by Corero Network Security said the attack on Wikileaks site was one of the largest DDoS attack ever took place in 2011. Back in May this year, Wikileaks was also taken down by a DDoS attack which also infected controversial file sharing site "The Pirate Bay". As per sources the site has been down for the last five days, during which it has been experiencing a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. So far it was the longest attack ever happened against Wikileaks. The most notable thing is that according the organisation already claimed a government entity is behind the hit. Many of other unofficial sources are connecting this attack with a recent story, which restarted the WikiLeaks donation. At the time of the attack team VOGH took the following screen shot which clearly showing that Wikileaks.org was indeed inaccessible

The first tweet was sent out on August 3:-
WikiLeaks.org is down for unknown reasons. We are investigating. wikileaks.org is still up.
#WikiLeaks donation page and FDNN portal down. You can still donate via supporter merchandise: http://wikileaks.spreadshirt.com/ http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/wikileaksbeattheblockade2
WikiLeaks has been under sustained large scale DDoS attacks since August 3. Help us purchase more bandwidth: http://shop.wikileaks.org/donate
Speculation on DDoS attack against WikiLeaks timing: 1. Olympics cover 2. Upcomng release. 3. Ongoing Syria, Stratfor releases
Wikileaks est actuellement sous le feu d’une attaque DDOS d’ampleur.
wlcentral.org and http://justice4assange.com are now down.
Update: http://wikileaks.org https://secure.fdn2.org/fdn2/nouser http://cabledrum.net/ still down. http://wlcentral.org/ http://justice4assange.com/ back online.
UPDATE: WikiLeaks battles ongoing DDoS attack
#WikiLeaks .onion mirror available: http://isax7s5yooqgelbr.onion/ Accessible only through Tor

Most WikiLeaks mirrors have been brought offline as well, with some coming back today. Even sites simply related to WikiLeaks have been targeted. These include the WikiLeaks-endorsed website Cabledrum, including its mirror of the WikiLeaks website, and French non-profit FDNN, which hosts a WikiLeaks' donation portal. The latter was attacked shortly after WikiLeaks linked to it as an alternative to donate while the WikiLeaks website is down. WL Central and Justice for Assange were also attacked for a short period of time. According to Zdnet a hacker group calling themselves 'AntiLeaks' is claiming responsibility for the attack, and has issued the following statement:-
"You can call me DietPepsi. I am the leader of AntiLeaks. We are not doing this to call attention to ourselves. We are young adults, citizens of the United States of America and are deeply concerned about the recent developments with Julian Assange and his attempt at aslyum in Ecuador.
Assange is the head of a new breed of terrorist. We are doing this as a protest against his attempt to escape justice into Ecuador. This would be a catalyst for many more like him to rise up in his place. We will not stop and they will not stop us."

Anonymous Targets Australian Govt Sites Over Internet Privacy Laws

Anonymous Targets Australian Govt Sites Over Changes in Internet Privacy Laws

The Australian Government has became the latest victim of international hacker collective group Anonymous. At least 10 of the country's government websites were sent offline in a series of attacks over proposed changes to Internet privacy laws. The first attacks were conducted in conjunction with Prime Minister Julia Gillard's online Q&A session this weekend, Anonymous. So far, the only targeted sites are run by the Queensland State Government.
Site List:-

If an Australian online security bill gets passed into law, it could require ISPs to store user activity for a period of two years, allowing Web users' every online move to be watched by the government.
In response, the Australian arm of Anonymous threatened to continue its attacks on ".gov.au" sites until the bill is halted.
Anonymous said  the sites were specifically chosen because the group had “proof” that small to medium businesses, education departments, student and personal accounts had been tracked by the State Government. “The Australian Government is attempting to strip away its citizens’ internet rights by forcing them to surrender passwords and internet usage data,” Anonymous Australia said via email. “Unless the Government starts acting in the best interest of its people, it will continue to bring the noise.” The hackers said the attacks were in response to changes being discussed by the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS).
Not only Internet privacy but also Anonymous confirmed that its actions were also in response to recent denials of Australian-born WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's extradition
A Department of Defence spokesperson said the department was aware of the reports of Australian attacks but did not publicly comment or discuss details of cyber incidents. "Defence, through the Cyber Security Operations Centre, works with affected government agencies, as required, to help mitigate threats to information security," the spokesperson said. A spokesperson for Federal Attorney-General Nicola Roxon said it was critical Australia's national security capability could keep up with technology and global security. "We must always stay a step ahead of terrorists, cyber criminals and organised criminals who threaten our national security," the spokesperson said.
This is not the first time, earlier the world have seen several protest generated from all over the world against Internet censorship. In case of SOPA, PIPA & ACTA hackers from different part generated massive cyber attack. Even Wikipedia go dark for 24 hrs.

Donations Reopened- WikiLeaks Opens New Path Through Banking Siege

Donations Reopened- WikiLeaks Opens New Path Through Banking Siege

After the court victory against the financial blockade imposed by Visa and MasterCard to WikiLeaks donation, now WikiLeaks is opening a new path  in its battle to breakthrough the banking siege. In early Wednesday morning, WikiLeaks announced  via its twitter feed while saying it could now accept donations through a French non-profit.
"After almost two years of fighting an unlawful banking blockade by US financial giants VISA and MasterCard, WikiLeaks has announced it is back open for donations. After WikiLeaks’ publications revealing US war crimes and statecraft in 2010, US financial institutions erected a banking blockade against WikiLeaks wholly outside of any judicial or administrative process. The blockade came during a time of substantial economic growth for WikiLeaks but blocked more than 95% of donations, costing the organization in excess of USD 20 million.
The Wau Holland Transparency Reports for WikiLeaks’ finances, released today, illustrate the financial consequences of 18 consecutive months of economic censorship. For the year 2011, the blockade resulted in WikiLeaks’ income falling to just 21% of its operating costs. WikiLeaks has been forced to run on its cash reserves at the Wau Holland Foundation, which have diminished from EUR 800,000 at the end of December 2010, to less than EUR 100,000 at the end of June 2012. As the graph shows, WikiLeaks’ reserve funds will expire at the current austere rate of expenditure within a few months. In order to effectively continue its mission, WikiLeaks must raise a minimum of EUR 1 million immediately.
Against this background, WikiLeaks is launching a new payment gateway, designed to work around the blockade. The French credit card system, Carte Bleue, is coupled with the VISA/MasterCard system globally. VISA and MasterCard are contractually barred from directly cutting off merchants through the Carte Bleue system. The French non-profit FDNN (Fund for the Defense of Net Neutrality- Fonds de Défense de la Net Neutralité) has set up a Carte Bleue fund for WikiLeaks.
WikiLeaks advises all global supporters to make use of this avenue immediately before VISA/MasterCard attempts to shut it down.
However, WikiLeaks and FDNN are ready for the fight. Julian Assange, WikiLeaks’ founder said: "We beat them in Iceland and, by God, we’ll beat them in France as well. Let them shut it down. Let them demonstrate to the world once again their corrupt pandering to Washington. We’re waiting. Our lawyers are waiting. The whole world is waiting. Do it."

WikiLeaks Get Court Victory, Donations By Visa & MasterCard May Resume Soon

WikiLeaks Get Court Victory, Donations By Visa & MasterCard May Resume Soon

Court victory to WikiLeaks, this Thursday an Icelandic court declared victory in the first round of its campaign against the financial blockade imposed by Visa and MasterCard to WikiLeaks donation. Judge ruled 'Valitor' -Icelandic payments processor to reopen a gateway handling Visa and MasterCard donations to Wikileaks. The court ruled that Valitor must resume processing payments for Wikileaks' partner DataCell within two weeks. If Valitor doesn't, then it must pay a fine of 800,000 Icelandic kronur (USD$6,200) per day until the company complies with the ruling, the Reykjavik district court ruled.
WikiLeaks says that the ensuing blockade has led to a 95 percent fall in revenue, something which founder Julian Assange says has forced him to focus on fundraising at the expense of his site's publication work.
The judgment, handed down by Reykjavik District Court, is "a very important milestone in our campaign," WikiLeaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson said in a telephone interview. Lawsuits remain active in Denmark and in Belgium, he said, but the Icelandic win was "a small but very important step in fighting back against these powerful banks."
DataCell CEO Andreas Fink said the court had dismissed Visa's argument that DataCell should not be allowed to process donations for third parties.
"The verdict is an important one as the court had to rule on the conditions of the contracts we had with a payment processor which indirectly imposes Visa general rules on us," said Fink.
Still neither Visa Inc. nor MasterCard Inc. immediately returned emails seeking comment on the judgment.

"The Syria Files" By WikiLeaks Containing 2.5 Million Emails of Syrian Politicians, Govt, Ministries & Companies

"The Syria Files" By WikiLeaks Containing 2.5 Million Emails of Syrian Politicians, Govt, Ministries & Companies
The WikiLeaks website said on Thursday it had begun publishing more than 2.5 million e-mails from Syrian politicians, government ministries and companies dating back to 2006. This leak named "The Syria Files" which contain 2.5 million emails from 680 Syria-related entities and domain names “including those of the Ministries of Presidential Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Information, Transport and Culture.” According to WikiLeaks, the file dump will be “embarrassing to Syria, but it is also embarrassing to Syria’s opponents.” The Syria Files come mere days after Human Rights Watch revealed that the Syrian government was operating at least 27 torture chambers around the country and using 20 torture techniques against Syrian dissidents.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said
“The material is embarrassing to Syria, but it is also embarrassing to Syria’s opponents. It helps us not merely to criticise one group or another, but to understand their interests, actions and thoughts. It is only through understanding this conflict that we can hope to resolve it.” WikiLeaks said the emails, which it has called "The Syria Files", would shine a light on the inner workings of the Syrian government and economy, and "also reveal how the West and Western companies say one thing and do another".
We would also like to give you reminder that earlier in this year we got Spy Files  & GI Files (Global Intelligence Files & Five Million E-mails From Stratfor)
According to Wikileaks Release :-
"The database comprises 2,434,899 emails from the 680 domains. There are 678,752 different email addresses that have sent emails and 1,082,447 different recipients. There are a number of different languages in the set, including around 400,000 emails in Arabic and 68,000 emails in Russian. The data is more than eight times the size of ’Cablegate’ in terms of number of documents, and more than 100 times the size in terms of data. Around 42,000 emails were infected with viruses or trojans. To solve these complexities, WikiLeaks built a general-purpose, multi-language political data-mining system which can handle massive data sets like those represented by the Syria Files..."

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Got Extradition Letter From British Police

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Got Extradition Letter From British Police
Julian Assange may be holed up at the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he is seeking political asylum, but that hasn't stopped British law enforcement officials from serving him a letter of extradition. According to reports, the letter, penned by none other than Scotland Yard, demanded the 40-year-old Assange visit a police station "at a time of our choosing." "This is standard procedure in extradition cases and is the first step in the removal process," a Scotland Yard spokesperson told the press. "He remains in breach of his bail conditions and failure to surrender would be a further breach of those conditions and he is liable to arrest."

Assange entered the Ecuadorian embassy in London on June 19 after all attempts to fight extradition to Sweden - where the WikiLeaks founder faces charges of sexual assault - failed. Assange, who denies the accusations, is concerned that extradition to Sweden could ultimately lead to his eventual transfer to the United States. Then earlier in this year hacktivist Anonymous stood against the extradition of the Wikileaks founder
He denies the accusations but has lost a string of appeals in British courts to avoid being handed over to Sweden’s judiciary for questioning. Assange says his chief fear is that this would lead to further extradition to the United States, where he could face trial for Wikileaks’ actions. He was under house arrest with an order to present himself daily to the nearest police station when he broke bail and took refuge in the Ecuadorean Embassy. The customary dry statement from Scotland Yard announced that authorities had issued “a surrender notice upon a 40-year-old man that requires him to attend a police station at date and time of our choosing. This is standard practice in extradition cases and is the first step in the removal process.”
The statement added he was in breach of bail conditions and would be subject to arrest if he failed to surrender. On Sunday, Ecuadorean Ambassador Anna Alban flew to her homeland to brief the government there on Assange’s situation. Assange is supported by WikiLeaks fans from all over the world who in the past appeared at Assange’s every public appearance with banners saying “Free Assange, Free Bradley Manning,” the latter a reference to the U.S. Army analyst who awaits trial in the United States on charges of releasing the original discs with the official documents published by WikiLeaks.
“There is a strong likelihood that once in Sweden, he would be imprisoned and ... likely extradited to the United States," they stated, adding: "Were he charged and found guilty under the Espionage Act, Assange could face the death penalty.

FBI Used LulzSec To Track & Spy on Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange

FBI Used LulzSec To Track & Spy on Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange

After the inside story of Anonymous former leader Hector Xavier Monsegur aka "Sabu" case get revealed, the world came to know that Sabu was working as an under cover agent of FBI which lead a series of arrest for several key members of hacker collective Anonymous & LulzSec. Now we got another twist which came from a new book written by Parmy Olson, the London bureau chief for Forbes Magazine, saying that FBI used an agent inside the LulzSec hacker group to track and spy on Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. According to the book, an associate of WikiLeaks contacted LulzSec spokesman Topiary on June 16 hours after the assault on the CIA. The two would eventually converse over an Internet Relay Chat channel that was reported to be witnessed by Assange, who confirmed his identity by providing a video to the hacker in real time during their chat. For a few weeks, writes Olson, Assange and/or his associate returned to the LulzSec IRC channel “four or five more times,” during which others occasionally engaged in conversation with both sides. During at least one of those conversations, Assange’s contact at WikiLeaks offered LulzSec a spreadsheet of classified government data contained in a file named RSA 128, which she says was heavily encrypted and needed the manpower of black hat hacktivists to decode.
According to an exclusive report of RT - Aside from a few unsealed court documents, details about the now-defunct hacktivism group LulzSec remains few and far between. One journalist is saying she got inside the organization though — along with Julian Assange.
“We Are Anonymous: Inside the Hacker World of LulzSec, Anonymous, and the Global Cyber Insurgency” is an upcoming book from Parmy Olson, the London bureau chief for Forbes Magazine. And although her alleged account has not yet hit the shelves, a lengthy excerpt has been leaked to the Web — and its contents suggest that that the world’s once most powerful hacking collective was in correspondence with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange after he allegedly reached out to the organization for assistance. The US government says that they had already infiltrated LulzSec by then, though, meaning that WikiLeak’s plea to the hacking collective was actually being offered to an FBI mole.
According to Olson, the June 2011 attack on the public website of the US Central Intelligence Agency by LulzSec caught the attention of Assange, who was residing in the countryside manor of an English journalist while on house arrest.Once he saw that a LulzSec-led invasion had crippled CIA.gov, Assange allegedly sent out two tweets from the WikiLeaks Twitter account, only to delete the micomessages shortly after:
"WikiLeaks supporters, LulzSec, take down CIA . . . who has a task force into WikiLeaks," read one."CIA finally learns the real meaning of WTF” reads the other.
Assange “didn't want to be publicly associated with what were clearly black hat hackers” writes Olson, speaking of computer compromisers who target network for perhaps no real intention other than mischief making. “Instead, he decided it was time to quietly reach out to the audacious new group that was grabbing the spotlight,” she says. Olson says that one of those hackers aware the newfangled relationship was Hector Xavier Monsegur, who spearheaded LulzSec by serving as a leader of sorts under the handle Sabu. Perhaps unbeknownst to all engaged in the IRC chats, however, was that Sabu had been arrested on June 7 and, according to the federal government, began immediately working as an FBI informant.
"Since literally the day he was arrested, the defendant has been cooperating with the government proactively," Assistant US Attorney James Pastore said at a secret bail hearing on August 5 2011, according to a transcript released this March after his arrest was made public.
While details of Sabu’s escapades under the direct influence of the FBI are obviously being kept confidential, federal attorneys have said that the hacker more or less masterminded the group under their command until LulzSec dissolved on June 25; Jake Davis — Topiary — was arrested in the UK on August 1. If Olson’s allegations add up, that could mean that the FBI’s top-secret informant, Sabu, was speaking directly with America’s cyber-enemy number one: Julian Assange.
On Wednesday this week, the UK Supreme Court agreed to extradite Assange to Sweden, where he is facing a lawsuit unrelated to his involvement with WikiLeaks. Once there, however, the United States may be able to more easily fight to have him sent stateside to be charged with aiding the enemy — the crime being pegged to alleged WikiLeaks contributor Bradley Manning, who now faces life in prison for that involvement. The uncertainty of who exactly conversed with whom might be near impossible to confirm given the widespread anonymity of hacktivists tied with LulzSec and Anonymous alike, but if Olson’s account adds up, the FBI’s inside man may very well have come close to working with Assange. On his part, Topiary claims that he never received the RSA 128 file.

WikiLeaks Launched Wlfriends.org - New Encrypted Social Network

WikiLeaks Launched Wlfriends.org - New Encrypted Social Network

WikiLeaks Twitter feed announced on 20 May 2012 that the WL Friends/Friends of WikiLeaks (FoWL) network is ready to launch an 'encrypted Facebook' as the whistleblowing website claims that Facebook sells users' information to governments. Wikileaks also criticize Facebook recently came out in support of CISPA, a proposed US law that infringes on privacy and freedom of speech. So WL claimed that from now onwards Facebook cannot be trusted any more.
In the press release WL said- "FoWL is currently in its beta stage. This means that people from all over the world are registering to be part of this network to support WikiLeaks. For some time, nothing else will happen - we need the network to be of a certain size before we can start introducing you to candidate friends. Registering now will allow you to be a part of the network before the beta stage network gets full. As soon as we are ready to give you some candidate friends we will let you know."
One WikiLeaks tweet noted that "Facebook sells your information to governments, is lauded by MSM. WikiLeaks gives government information to you for free and we're terrorists". Following this statement, WikiLeaks tweeted a dozen reasons why this new site is better than Facebook.
Reasons:-
  1. WL Friends introduces you to people you want to know, but don't know yet. Facebook connects you to people you already know - no point.
  2. Facebook is a mass surveillance tool. You put your friends into it, you betray your friends. Do friends betray friends? WL Friends doesn't know your friends. It introduces you to new friends.
  3. Facebook records everything you do, hands it over to the US government and corporations. WL Friends doesn't.
  4. WL Friends keeps your data so encrypted, not even the system admins can decrypt it. You and your friends decrypt on login automatically.
  5. WL Friends uses military grade cryptography and the best industry standards (OpenPGP + Elliptic Curves).
  6. WL Friends even uses homomorphic encryption for certain operations so WL Friends doesn't even know how many friends you have.
  7. The more you use WL Friends, the less you use WL Friends. WL Friends is designed to build, not control, a robust network of shared value.
  8. WL Friends is designed for more than just WikiLeaks. It is a general solution to build a robust support network under hostile conditions.
  9. Friends of Israel, Friends of Palestine, Friends of the Tea Party, Friends of Catholicism are all possible with WL Friends.
  10. WL Friends is designed to make infiltration costly. No person can be seen to be more important than any other or individually targeted.
  11. WL Friends builds a strong support network instantly for any shared belief by connecting supporters in a way that maximizes communication.
  12. As time goes by the WL Friends network for any shared belief is designed to mathematically grow stronger and stronger.

Pirate Bay & WikiLeaks Goes Offline After Prolonged Denial of Service Attack

Most popular and controversial file sharing site "The Pirate Bay" faced a prolonged distributed denial of service which interrupts the service. In their official Facebook page confirmed the attack. DDoS attack left the site largely inaccessible for the last 24 hours, with only intermittent service in the UK. The Pirate Bay took to its Facebook page to confirm the attack, saying that it did not know who was behind it, although it ‘had its suspicions’. There had initially been speculation that the attack on The Pirate Bay was initiated as an act of revenge by the Anonymous hacker collective after members of The Pirate Bay criticised Anonymous for organizing DDoS attacks on UK internet service provider (ISP) Virgin Media for blocking access to The Pirate Bay. The Pirate Bay has said, however, that Anonymous is not to blame for the attack on its site.
Meanwhile, a former Anonymous member by the name of AnonNyre has claimed responsibility for DDoSing the Pirate Bay site. There is no evidence though to confirm that AnonNyre was actually behind the attacks.

Not only TPB, but also Wikileaks official website faced massive distributed denial of service attack which hampers the site for 72 long hours. According to official twitter of Wikileaks "WikiLeaks has been under sustained DDOS attacks over the last 72 hours..."
This not the first time, before this Wikileaks have faced cyber attack and an Anonymous member took responsibility of that Attack on Wikileaks website. In a CNN report it has been come to light that Julian Assange plans to debut a talk show, "The World Tomorrow," on Russia's state-funded television network next week. Assange and RT, an English-language international satellite news channel, would not release the guest lineup in advance, but hinted that the first interview would be controversial. WikiLeaks has asked followers on Twitter if they can guess the show's first guest. "Any bets on who The World Tomorrow's first mystery guest(s) are?" it tweeted.
"You've been waiting and we've been teasing," said RT's website of the show, which will also be released online. The talk show set for launch Tuesday is creating a stir in global media circles. Commentators outside Russia have questioned the apparent link the show creates between Assange and the Kremlin, given RT's government-funded status.
It is unclear how or from where Assange, who is under house arrest in the United Kingdom while fighting extradition to Sweden, will present the show. Assange, in the online trailer, says that the experience of interviewing guests -- described by RT as opinion formers, some of them dissidents -- while under house arrest brings a different dimension to the process. "RT is rallying a global audience of open-minded people who question what they see in mainstream media and we are proud to premiere Julian Assange's new project," Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said in a statement on the television network's website.
"We provided Julian a platform to reach the world and gave him total editorial freedom. He is absolutely the right person to bring alternative opinions to our viewers around the globe." "The World Tomorrow" will be broadcast [simultaneously] on three RT channels, in English, Arabic and Spanish.
The WikiLeaks website for "The World Tomorrow" said Friday there would be 12 shows in total, each featuring a 26-minute edited interview. "RT is the first broadcast licensee of the show, but has not been involved in the production process. All editorial decisions have been made by Julian Assange," the website said.
Last two big bang from Wikileaks was Spy Files where he said that Govt is using Malware For Surveillance.  Spy Files—includes confidential brochures and slide presentations that companies use to market intrusive surveillance tools to governments and law enforcement agencies. The GIFiles By Wikileaks Publishing The Global Intelligence Files & Five Million E-mails From Stratfor

In the last month of 2011 U.S.-based security think tank Stratfor faced cyber attack from Hactvists. Anonymous claimed that they have stolen thousands of credit card numbers and other personal information belonging to clients of Stratfor’s confidential client list, which includes entities ranging from Apple Inc. to the U.S. Air Force to the Miami Police Department, and mining it for more than 4,000 credit card numbers, passwords and home addresses. But later in a press release Anonymous dines that attack so its quit difficult to figure out that who was really behind the hack.
But from this Monday Wikileaks has  planned to release over 5 Million emails from Stratfor Global Intelligence, whose website was hacked and emails and customer data stolen in December.
According to official website Wikileaks:-
"On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. Anonymous Stand Against the Extradition of the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange

Anonymous Stand Against the Extradition of the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange
Earlier we have talked about the extradition of the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. The Wikileaks founder is fighting extradition to face sex crime allegations and his fortune is almost fully depend on twitter. Both members of the hacktivist group, Anonymous and supporters of Julian Assange stood together outside of the Supreme Court in London last week to protest against the extradition of the Wikileaks founder to Sweden.
Many protesters believed that Assange is only being targeted because he is the founder of Wikileaks. Ben Griffin of Veterans of Peace said that Assange is only in trouble due to him starting Wikileaks: "There hasn't been any charges made against him yet he's still faces this extradition process. You have to ask the question if Julian wasn't the founder of Wikileaks would he be going through this process and I think the answer is no."
Another protester played the guitar and sang songs about peace and justice to protest against Assange's extradition "It's only because he's the founder of Wikileaks that he's in trouble," said John Mckinley.

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Fortune Could Be Revealed on Twitter

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Fortune Could Be Revealed on Twitter

Britain's Supreme Court has revealed it's about to become a bit more high-tech, as the highest court in the land joins Twitter. The Supreme Court is launching http://twitter.com/UKSupremeCourt on the microblogging site today to issue real-time news on its latest judgments, court spokesman Ben Wilson said.
Mr Wilson called the move an extension of the court's commitment to making its proceedings as accessible as possible and engage a new audience who might not be familiar with the court's work. "From producing summaries of judgments to streaming proceedings live online, taking to Twitter is another step to opening the doors of the highest court in the land to as many people as possible," Mr Wilson explained.
He said the court is eager to get the service up and running before justices prepare their judgment in the case of Mr Assange's extradition appeal, the most high profile case the court has heard since its opening in 2009. "Twitter provides a channel to rapidly publish the outcome of this case, and others, to a large number of interested parties in a timely and efficient manner," Mr Wilson said. Mr Assange is challenging whether Sweden's public prosecutor was qualified to issue a European Arrest warrant for his extradition - the latest chapter in his months-long fight against allegations of molestation and rape lodged by two women he met during a trip to Sweden in 2010.
A ruling in Mr Assange's hearing, which took place last week, is not expected from Supreme Court justices for another few weeks. While Britain's Supreme Court has allowed tweeting from its courtrooms on most occasions since February 2011, Wilson said today marks the first time the court itself will post to the microblogging site. To kick off the new service, the Supreme Court plans to tweet live updates from the swearing-in ceremony of new justice Robert Reed today. The account will be managed by the Court's communications team.

Twitter Will Not Handover The Data Of The Wikileaks Supporter To US Authorities

Few months ago we have covered that US District judge has ordered Twitter to handover the account information of three of its users who allegedly support WikiLeaks to the Department of Justice. The users’ account information will be used in the US investigation against WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange.
Later twitter fought against the order and won the right to notify its users that their information was being subpoenaed. This allowed the users to challenge the subpoena.
"The court is telling all users of online tools hosted in the US that the US government will have secret access to their data,” Jonsdottir one of the WikiLeaks activists in a statement.

Spy Files By Wikileaks Said Government Using Malware For Surveillance

The latest round of documents published by Wikileaks offers a rare glimpse into the world of surveillance products. The collection—which Wikileaks calls the Spy Files—includes confidential brochures and slide presentations that companies use to market intrusive surveillance tools to governments and law enforcement agencies. The documents published by Wikileaks include 287 files that describe products from 160 companies. The group says that these files are only the first set of a larger collection and that more will be published in the future. The project is being carried out in collaboration with activist groups such as Privacy International and press organizations such as the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and the Washington Post.
"[The surveillance industry] is, in practice, unregulated. Intelligence agencies, military forces, and police authorities are able to silently, and on mass, and [sic] secretly intercept calls and take over computers without the help or knowledge of the telecommunication providers," wrote Wikileaks in its report.
"In the last ten years systems for indiscriminate, mass surveillance have become the norm."
Surveillance products revealed in the Spy Files cover a wide range of different communication technologies. Many are designed to circumvent standard privacy and security safeguards in mainstream consumer technology products so that they can collect as much data as possible. Some are even deliberately programmed to operate like malware.
The software will capture the content of encrypted communications—including instant messaging conversations, e-mails, and the user's Web activity—and will relay the data to the party conducting surveillance. The software also includes key logging, remote file access, and has the ability to capture screenshots. The company cites "zero day exploits" and "social engineering" in a bulleted list of ways that its remote forensic software can be installed on the computer of a surveillance target.
