Anonymous Retaliates For Megaupload Shutdown & Bring Down DOJ & FBI (#OpMegaupload)

Federal authorities shut down one of the Web’s most popular sites Thursday on charges that it illegally shared movies, television shows, e-books and so on. In the payback hacktvist Anonymous called #OpMegaupload performed "The Largest Attack Ever" where 5,635 Anon people bring down the websites of Universal Music, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Recording Industry Association of America while using one of the world's most popular and vastly used DDoSer LOIC.

"The government takes down Megaupload? 15 minutes later Anonymous takes down government and record label sites,"  Tweeted by Anonymous. That note was followed shortly by this one: "Megaupload was taken down w/out SOPA being law. Now imagine what will happen if it passes. The Internet as we know it will end. FIGHT BACK." The tweet referred to the Stop Online Piracy Act, an Internet piracy bill being considered in the U.S. Congress.
Detailing the attacks, which are being dubbed as the largest performed by the group, via numerous Twitter feeds, @YourAnonNews said: "You cannot censor the internet. You cannot subpoena a hashtag. You cannot arrest an idea. You CAN expect us #OpMegaupload"

The link is a page on the anonymous web hosting site pastehtml. It link loads a web-based version of the program Anonymous has used for years to DDoS websites: Low Orbit Ion Cannon. (LOIC). When activated, LOIC rapidly reloads a target website, and if enough users point LOIC at a site at once, it can crash from the traffic. Judging from a Twitter search, the link is being shared at a rate of about 4 times a minute, mostly by Spanish-speaking users, for some reason. (Here's a link to the Twitter search, just don't click the PasteHTML link.)
The thing is, DDoSing is a criminal offense that could earn you 10 years in prison, if you do it intentionally. With previous versions of LOIC, participants had to acknowledge this risk and press a button labeled "fire." But now, it appears some enterprising anonymous member has retooled it so that it automatically fires if you click an unassuming link and leave a window open.
Megaupload.com distributed a variety of digital content, including music and movies. Investigators say Megaupload’s executives made more than $175 million through subscription fees and online ads while robbing authors, movie producers, musicians and other copyright holders of more than $500 million. “This action is among the largest criminal copyright cases ever brought by the United States,” the Justice Department and FBI said in a statement.
On Thursday, the U.S. DOJ announced that it had charged seven people who allegedly were affiliated with the site with running an organized criminal enterprise responsible for worldwide online piracy of copyrighted content. The DOJ worked with authorities in New Zealand, who arrested four of the seven people.

WikiLeaks Again Under DDoS Attack For Last 5 Days

WikiLeaks Again Under DDoS Attack For Last 5 Days

Yet again Wikileaks official website faced denial of service attack. Earlier we have seen two similar attack, first it was in 2011 when  an Anonymous member took responsibility of that Attack on Wikileaks website. That  time the attacker executed a massive Denial of Service while using newly developed tool #refref. In an exlusive report by Corero Network Security said the attack on Wikileaks site was one of the largest DDoS attack ever took place in 2011. Back in May this year, Wikileaks was also taken down by a DDoS attack which also infected controversial file sharing site "The Pirate Bay". As per sources the site has been down for the last five days, during which it has been experiencing a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. So far it was the longest attack ever happened against Wikileaks. The most notable thing is that according the organisation already claimed a government entity is behind the hit. Many of other unofficial sources are connecting this attack with a recent story, which restarted the WikiLeaks donation. At the time of the attack team VOGH took the following screen shot which clearly showing that Wikileaks.org was indeed inaccessible

The first tweet was sent out on August 3:-
WikiLeaks.org is down for unknown reasons. We are investigating. wikileaks.org is still up.
#WikiLeaks donation page and FDNN portal down. You can still donate via supporter merchandise: http://wikileaks.spreadshirt.com/ http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/wikileaksbeattheblockade2
WikiLeaks has been under sustained large scale DDoS attacks since August 3. Help us purchase more bandwidth: http://shop.wikileaks.org/donate
Speculation on DDoS attack against WikiLeaks timing: 1. Olympics cover 2. Upcomng release. 3. Ongoing Syria, Stratfor releases
Wikileaks est actuellement sous le feu d’une attaque DDOS d’ampleur.
wlcentral.org and http://justice4assange.com are now down.
Update: http://wikileaks.org https://secure.fdn2.org/fdn2/nouser http://cabledrum.net/ still down. http://wlcentral.org/ http://justice4assange.com/ back online.
UPDATE: WikiLeaks battles ongoing DDoS attack
#WikiLeaks .onion mirror available: http://isax7s5yooqgelbr.onion/ Accessible only through Tor

Most WikiLeaks mirrors have been brought offline as well, with some coming back today. Even sites simply related to WikiLeaks have been targeted. These include the WikiLeaks-endorsed website Cabledrum, including its mirror of the WikiLeaks website, and French non-profit FDNN, which hosts a WikiLeaks' donation portal. The latter was attacked shortly after WikiLeaks linked to it as an alternative to donate while the WikiLeaks website is down. WL Central and Justice for Assange were also attacked for a short period of time. According to Zdnet a hacker group calling themselves 'AntiLeaks' is claiming responsibility for the attack, and has issued the following statement:-
"You can call me DietPepsi. I am the leader of AntiLeaks. We are not doing this to call attention to ourselves. We are young adults, citizens of the United States of America and are deeply concerned about the recent developments with Julian Assange and his attempt at aslyum in Ecuador.
Assange is the head of a new breed of terrorist. We are doing this as a protest against his attempt to escape justice into Ecuador. This would be a catalyst for many more like him to rise up in his place. We will not stop and they will not stop us."

Sony Online Entertainment Shut Down After 25 Million More Acounts Hacked

Sony Online Entertainment has temporarily shut down its online games service and its Facebook games after discovering the April break-in that led to the theft of 77 million user accounts also affected its system.
A spokesman for the online games unit said the service was taken down at 1:30 am Pacific time on Monday. The spokesman declined to say how many customers were affected and none were alerted beyond a terse message on its website.
Facebook games developed by Sony Online Entertainment including "PoxNora," "Dungeon Overlord," "Wildlife Refuge," as well as games based on the Star Wars movies, were all shut down.
Sony posted a message on Facebook saying "we had to temporarily take down SOE services during the night." A Sony spokesman said the Facebook games make money from microtransactions and the sale of virtual goods like costumes and weapons.
Facebook could not immediately be reached for comment.
Sony Online Entertainment is a division of Sony Corp, the global electronics company that operates online games such as "EverQuest" and is separate from the PlayStation video game console division.
Story continues below
The spokesman, who could not confirm a Nikkei report that 12,700 credit card numbers were stolen from the intrusion of Sony Online Entertainment, said it was not "a second attack" and was related to the April 17-19 break-in of the Sony PlayStation Network.
"In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately," the company said on its website.
Sony on Monday denied on its official PlayStation blog that hackers had tried to sell it a list of millions of credit card numbers.
The news comes less than a week after Sony alerted customers that a hacker broke into Sony's PlayStation video game network and stole names, addresses, passwords and possibly credit card numbers of its 77 million customers.
Sony alerted customers a week after discovering the break-in.
Sony executives apologized on Sunday and said it would gradually restart the PlayStation Network with increased security and would offer some free content to users.

Jenson Button's Official Website Defaced With Fake Accident Report

A story posted on Jenson Button's website claiming that he had been seriously injured in a car crash was a "distasteful hoax", his representatives have said.
The story emerged on the Formula 1 driver's site last night stating he was in a "critical condition" in hospital following a "serious accident" in Hungary. However, the website was taken down soon after the post emerged, with his spokesman stating it had been the work of an online hacker who had breached its security.

"The story is completely untrue and is a very distasteful hoax," the McLaren driver's spokesman said. "The website was immediately taken down and its security will now be reviewed.
"Jenson was asleep in bed when we were made aware that someone had hacked into his site and made the untrue claims. He is still totally oblivious. We can assure people that he is completely fit and healthy and will be taking part in today's race."

The hacker posted the story on jensonbutton.com. The driver's representatives were made aware just after 11.30pm on Saturday night.
The story read: "Jenson Button, 31, is in a critical condition after being involved in a serious accident. Jenson was taken to Budapest's AEK hospital where he is undergoing medical attention. It's unclear what injuries Jenson sustained during the accident at this time.
"Jenson's team is in contact with the FIA and currently discussing whether he is able to race tomorrow at the Hungaroring."
Button, 31, and will start third on the grid at Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hackers Claimed - Google Under Cyber Attack (i-Google Server Down)

Hackers Claimed - Google Under Cyber Attack (i-Google Server Down) [#OpArmenianGenocide]

Few days ago Anonymous called Operation Armenian Genocide later another hacker group named Teamgreyhat has hacked more than 7K websites for this protest. But its not enough now hackers from Kosova Hackers Security and Teamgreyhat in association with hackers from Anonymous performed a DNS Distributed Denial of Service attack of i-Google Ireland on the 4th February. The hackers have claimed that they have hacked into a network of iGoogle , making it the most successful cyber attack. The Google Webmaster responded to the attack by shutting down part of its computer system from the office of Thomas Masood, the Google Defense Secretary. The network was taken down for over a week in order to determine the points of weakness.
It's been noted that hackers from various locations in Kosova, Albania, India, Portugal, Brazil and so on have spent months probing the Google system, and unfortunately succeeded in finding a vulnerability. The attackers also took responsibility to collapse the maximum bandwidth of i-google and later sent it offline for some time. Earlier hackers form KHS and TGH performed such similar attack on Hotmail and they sent the mail server offline for a log time.

Press Release By The Hacker:-

"Greeting World
All you are aware of how cruel your Govt is behaving with us…… it’s been a decade past but still common people are suffering. Our question is what democracy we have achieved??? Still the fuckers are ruling the humanity and they have made the entire system a crap.
I want to ask everyone, how much longer are we gonna let our governments control us? How many freedoms will have to be removed before we realize that this is not how man is supposed to live. And how much longer will we let our governments operate behind closed doors? The idea of a Government by the people for the people has died out and its time we fought for its resurrection
Earlier we have raise our voice against injustice, inhumanity while blowing 12K websites all over the world for free education and free health to all our brothers and sister world wide. Later we again vows against ACTA and then 7K sites get penetrated by TGH
But did we do a lot??? No not at all. Again we are standing against injustice, cruelty & inhumanity.  the govt wants to censor the entire WWW. So we decide yet again to stop them. As a result on the 4th February 2012 we sent offline  i-Google from the WWW.

Federal Trade Commission Server Breached By Anonymous #Antisec (#ACTA Protest)

Federal Trade Commission Server Breached By Anonymous #Antisec (#ACTA Protest)
Hacker collective group Anonymous along with Antisec continues their protest against ACTA. This time the blown the  Web server of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau and hacked the official website of U.S. Federal Trade Commission, consumer rights, & National Consumer Protection Week. Hacker released a note in pastebin where the have breached all the security of the FTC server, rooted the server & hacked into the database to expose user name, email-id, passwords and many other very sensitive data of the Govt. They have also written a note while addressing FTC -
"Dear Fuctarded Troglodyte Clusterfuck (FTC):
Congratuations! You got rooted and rm'd (AGAIN). U MAD!? Don't like it? Oh wait,
you want some lube? Ohhhh, you want MORE lube. (Well ok then, you silly bitch!)
So, how’s it feel when your entire site is jack-hammered off the internet? Do
tell!
Guess what? We’re back for round 2. Well, with the doomsday clock ticking down
on Internet freedom, Antisec has leapt into action. Again. Holy déjà vu hack
Batman! Expect us yet?
Hey FTC! Y u no ask Google to delay the privacy-violating changes to its terms
of service? Y u let Google combine user data without user consent? Y u collect 8
million Do Not Call List complaints online from bothered citizens, but u only
took action 83 times? Y u suck?
Even more bothersome than your complete lack of competence in maintaining your
own fucking websites and serving the citizens you are supposed to be protecting,
is the US federal government’s support of ACTA. You really want to empower
copyright holders to demand that users who violate IP rights (with no legal
process) have their Internet connections terminated? You really want to allow a
country with an oppressive Internet censorship regime to demand under the treaty
that an ISP in another country remove site content? Well, we have a critical
warning for you, and we suggest you read the next few paragraphs very, very
closely.
If ACTA is signed by all participating negotiating countries, you can rest
assured that Antisec will bring a fucking mega-uber-awesome war that rain
torrential hellfire down on all enemies of free speech, privacy and internet
freedom. We will systematically knock all evil corporations and governments off
of our internet.
And just think, as you’re reading this statement, we are already sailing into
new waters with our allied shiny epic lulzfleet. Don’t fret, we’ve already
prepared treasure chests of stolen booty, diamonds and pizzas for our next raid.
We are s(h)itting on hundreds of rooted servers getting ready to drop all your
mysql dumps, child pr0n and mail spools (to be honest, fucking too much for us
to read on our own, so we swap with all criminal underground allies for sex and
0days). Oh wait, what’s that? Your passwords? Addresses? Your precious bank
accounts? Even your online dating details?! (yep, We know you're cheating on
your…well, we won’t get into that here. Yet.)
Yep, we know all about you. All of your little secrets will be laid bare for the
world to see. So, how does it feel to be the one spied on?
Oh, eat cock now. Kthxbai. :D"

Later in an official statement FTC spokesperson Cecelia Prewett said "The Bureau of Consumer Protection’s Business Center website and the partnership site NCPW run by the Federal Trade Commission were hacked earlier today, The FTC takes these malicious acts seriously. The sites have been taken down and will be brought back up when we’re satisfied that any vulnerability has been addressed."
Earlier for #OpMegaupload hackers from Antisec has hacked the official site of OnGuardOnline Of Federal Trade Commission(FTC) and breached the database. That attack was a part of protest against censorship (SOPA/PIPA/ACTA)

Sony's website in 13 countries been hit by hackers

Sony Corp bounced from two-month lows after the electronics conglomerate said this year's operating profit would match last year's, easing worries about the impact of the March earthquake. In its first estimate for the year to March 2012, Sony said operating profit would come in around 200 billion yen (USD 2.44 billion), prompting Macquarie to upgrade its rating on the stock to outperform from neutral. Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and UBS reiterated their overweight, buy or outperform ratings. Separately, Sony said on Tuesday websites in three countries were hacked and personal information for 8,500 people were leaked from its Greek Sony Music Entertainment website, in the latest of a series of security breaches. The company said all three sites had been taken down and that no credit card information had been registered. Analysts said Sony had provided markets with a realistic view of the impact of the quake and a PlayStation network hacking incident, both of which had weighed on the shares. Sony said it expects the quake and the hacking incident to drag down operating profit by 164 billion yen in the current financial year. In contrast, the decline in Sony's market capitalisation of 264 billion yen since the quake "looks overdone," Macquarie analyst Jeff Loff wrote in a report. "With shares cheap and cost impacts one-time in nature, we expect the stock to reverse its fall." Sony expects to report a net loss of 260 billion yen (USD 3.2 billion) for the year ended March 31, its third straight annual net loss, after writing of tax credits following Japan's earthquake and tsunami.
Many of Sony's rivals, including Panasonic Corp, have yet to issue forecasts for the current year due to uncertainty following the disaster. Shares in Sony, the maker of PlayStation video games and Vaio computers, were up 2.4% by 0340 GMT, outperforming a flat Tokyo electrical machinery subindex . Sony's shares dipped nearly 1% in early trade, to its lowest since the immediate aftermath of the earthquake. Some fund managers however said the shares, down 22% so far this year, might not see sharp gains. "I agree that shares are unlikely to keep sliding, but neither do I see any new catalysts that would bring the share price up. I expect shares to continue meandering back and forth at low levels," said Makoto Kikuchi, chief executive officer at Myojo Asset Management. "It's not just Sony. Panasonic, Sharp -- all Japanese home electronics makers have seen the base of their share price sink. They can't compete in prices, so the only route they have is to create new markets with high added value. Products that would make people pay more." "Sony used to have this ability. But I don't see anything that would make share prices rise this fiscal year." Sony has seen a series of hacking attacks that have exposed more than 100 million accounts on its online gaming network to possible data theft, casting doubt on Sony's bid to reinvent itself through its online business. The company cut its annual net earnings forecast for the year ended March 31 to a loss of 260 billion yen from its previous estimate of a profit of 70 billion yen. Credit Suisse analyst Shunsuke Tsuchiya said shares in Sony were close to bottoming out and Morgan Stanley's Masahiro Ono said the announcement cleared uncertainty and was a positive. Sony has been largely squeezed out of the portable music market by Apple Inc's iPod, while losing market share to Samsung Electronics in flat-screen TVs. Sony, which had developed but scrapped products that could be said to predate both the iPod and iPad, is set to announce its full results on Thursday.

British Spy Agency GCHQ Performed DDoS Attack Against Anonymous -Snowden Documents Transpired

British Spy Agency GCHQ Performed DDoS Attack Against Hacktivist Anonymous & LulzSec -Snowden Documents Transpired
While excavating the past, it was always found that cyber criminals, large hacker collective groups were the culprits for engaging voluminous denial of service attack. But this widely transfusing story get a one eighty degree reverse turn, when the former NSA contractor Edward Snowden revealed another trade secret. Recently a lurid story get spot lighted, as the whistle blower Snowden unfold yet another breathtaking stealthy  documents taken from the National Security Agency. The clandestine documents taken the mask from the so called good guys, unveiling British spy agency GCHQ had launched a secret war against the infamous hacktivist collective Anonymous and a splinter group known as LulzSec several years ago. Many of you guessed right, this was happened when Anonymous were targeting various UK companies and government websites. The documents disclose that GCHQ carried out seemingly illegal DDoS attacks against the collective, flooding their chatrooms with so much traffic that they would become inaccessible – and all with the approval of the British government. The revelations come less than a year after several LulzSec activists were jailed by a British court for carrying out similar DDoS attacks against targets including the CIA, the UK’s Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA), News International, Sony and the Westboro Baptist Church, among others.
This sensational issue was made public by NBC News deferentially with the help of none other than Edward Snowden. In their exclusive report headed 'War on Anonymous: British Spies Attacked Hackers,' NBC said -The blunt instrument the spy unit used to target hackers, however, also interrupted the web communications of political dissidents who did not engage in any illegal hacking. It may also have shut down websites with no connection to Anonymous. According to the documents, a division of Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the British counterpart of the NSA, shut down communications among Anonymous hacktivists by launching a “denial of service” (DDOS) attack – the same technique hackers use to take down bank, retail and government websites – making the British government the first Western government known to have conducted such an attack.
The documents, from a PowerPoint presentation prepared for a 2012 NSA conference called SIGDEV, show that the unit known as the Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group, or JTRIG, boasted of using the DDOS attack – which it dubbed Rolling Thunder -- and other techniques to scare away 80 percent of the users of Anonymous internet chat rooms.
The existence of JTRIG has never been previously disclosed publicly. The documents also show that JTRIG infiltrated chat rooms known as IRCs and identified individual hackers who had taken confidential information from websites. In one case JTRIG helped send a hacktivist to prison for stealing data from PayPal, and in another it helped identify hacktivists who attacked government websites.
As soon as this story getting all the spot lights, immediately the GCHQ responded to this saying all their movements and operations were lawful“All of GCHQ’s work is carried out in accordance with a strict legal and policy framework which ensure[s] that our activities are authorized, necessary and proportionate, and that there is rigorous oversight, including from the Secretary of State, the Interception and Intelligence Services Commissioners and the Parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee. All of our operational processes rigorously support this position.” -GCHQ said the press. To know more detail about this story, don't forget to stay tuned with VOGH

Minn. man accused of hacking Facebook accounts

Prosecutors have accused a Minnesota man of hacking into other people's Facebook and other computer accounts and stealing photos of women to post on adult websites.
Prosecutors charged Timothy Peter Noirjean, 26, of Woodbury, with 13 counts of identity theft, alleging that from February 2010 through March 2010 he contacted women online and duped them into providing him with personal information that allowed him to hack their Facebook and other accounts. After hacking a Facebook account, prosecutors say Noirjean would pose as the owner to make contact with that person's friends and try to gain access to more computer accounts.
"My advice would be to stay very, very aware of anyone asking you for personal information, either on a telephone or via a computer, or any other electronic means," Washington County Attorney Pete Orput said Wednesday. "You need to hold on to that information with the utmost care."
Prosecutors allege Noirjean was able to get answers to security questions that allowed him to access his victims' Facebook and email accounts. He allegedly stole photographs of eight women -- ranging in age from 17 to 24 -- and posted those pictures on adult websites. In one case, an 18-year-old women said the pictures were stolen from her email account.
Authorities also identified nine other victims whose accounts were accessed so Noirjean could get to other accounts.
It was not immediately clear whether Noirjean had an attorney. A phone message left at his home was not returned. Authorities said when they questioned him at his home he admitted he had been hacking into accounts, and stealing and posting photos, but denied knowing that he did anything wrong.
The criminal complaint said his computer contained 92 separate folders with photos of women, and 235 email addresses with what appeared to be the answers to security questions for those accounts.
His first court appearance is set for May 26.
Orput said he doesn't know Noirjean's motive, but said it wasn't money. He said all of the pictures posted online were "compromising" in nature.
According to the criminal complaint, which identifies the victims only by their initials and birthdates, the 18-year-old woman who originally went to police had been chatting with someone she thought was a friend on Feb. 5, 2010. She gave up some personal information, and the next day found her password had been reset and pictures had been stolen from her email account and posted online, the complaint says.
She later realized that person was using her Facebook account to try to do the same thing to one of her friends. One of those women told police she "friended" a man named "Steve Mills" who described a picture that had been taken from her computer and said it was posted on his website, according to the complaint.
"'Steve Mills' stated that he would take down the posted photo, if (the victim) sent him a fully nude photograph of herself, which she declined to do," the complaint said.
Orput said a detective sent an email to an address connected to the website, asking that the photos be taken down, but received no response.
"We can hold the perpetrator accountable, but we are unable to remove their photos from the worldwide web, so they are out there, along with identifying information," Orput said.

FBI Arrested Anonymous Hacker After Posting Girlfriend's Abusive Photo

FBI Arrested Anonymous Hacker After Posting Girlfriend's Abusive Photo
FBI arrested  a 30-year-old computer programmer from Galveston named Higinio O. Ochoa III, who is widely known as @AnonW0rmer. He was active member of Anonymous affiliated 'CabinCr3w' He made a mistake that probably makes his fellow hackers cringe at the stupidity of it. Taunting law enforcement, he posted a photo of his girlfriend from the neck down, breasts pushed up with a sign taped to her saying ''PwNd by w0rmer & CabinCr3w <3 u B****'s!'
Trouble is, the photo was taken with an iPhone...with GPS co-ordinates embedded in the photo. The FBI said it confirmed the identity of Ochoa, who calls himself 'w0rmer' online and is a member of 'CabinCr3w', an offshoot of hacking group Anonymous. GPS co-ordinates embedded in the photo - as are found in all pictures taken by a smartphone - showed authorities the exact street and house in Wantirna South, Melbourne where it was taken. Different tweets from @Anonw0rmer pointed to other sites referring to 'w0rmer', including one which had Ochoa's name with it and more pictures of his girlfriend. Authorities then found Ochoa's Facebook page, on which he named Kylie Gardner from Australia as his girlfriend. The FBI was then satisfied she was the woman in the photo taken in South Wantirna. Even though the breasts photo does not show the woman's face, the FBI is convinced it is the same woman. They add it is definitive proof that Ochoa is w0rmer.
In a post allegedly written by Ochoa on Pastebin, he said 'around 8 agents from the FBI stormed my apartment'. He was taken to an FBI office in Houston where he paid a $50,000 bail. Ochoa appeared in court on April 10 before a magistrate, where the photograph evidence above was revealed in the FBI's affidavit. It comes a month after former Lulzsec leader and Anonymous member Sabu was revealed as an FBI informant. But in the Pastebin post, Ochoa claimed he was not guilty of the same betrayal.
He wrote: 'I did tell FBI that I would participate in the capture of my fellow crew mates, a play which undoubtfully both satisfied and confused the FBI. Those however who know me best would vouch for me undoutfully that doing so would put this movement at risk. ALL information provided to the FBI merely made MY case weaker and caused internal confusion showing the inherent weakness in the system.'

ANC Youth League Hacked by ‘Warbird’

Hours after a South African newspaper revealed that the lavish lifestyle of ANC Youth League (ANC YL) president Julius Malema was being bankrolled by a secret trust fund, the organisation’s website has been hacked.
The hack takes the form of a banner across the top of the site and shows a laughing Malema with silhouetted masses gathered behind him. Alongside the picture is the text “HA HA HA I have a 16 Million Rand house [sic]And all of you don’t!!!”. Clicking on the banner directs users to a page of comments in support of the league’s controversial policy of nationalising South Africa’s mines.
The youth wing of South Africa’s ruling party has been beset by internet security issues in recent months. In March this year, a fake post was put on the page claiming that Malema was going to step down as president of the organisation.
At the time of writing, the league had not taken down the banner, nor had it commented on the hack.
The story which prompted the attack had, however, received some attention. A statement on the story suggests that the league views it as part of a series of “continued attempts by sections of the media and right wing political parties to divert attention of the ANC YL and South African society through spread of pathetic lies”.
Alongside hacks like the ones listed above, the ANC YL has a history of mishandling its own online presence.
The most infamous instance of this mishandling arose from its reaction to the existence of a fake Malema twitter account late last year. In an open letter, the league famously threatened to “closer (sic.) Twitter if its administrators are not able to administer reports for violation of basic human rights and integrity”.
In the aftermath of this statement, the number of fake Malema accounts kept growing until it was impossible to tell which, if any, belonged the real Julius Malema and which belonged to the original, fake Julius Malema .

The Film and Publication Board’s (FPB) website, hosted (GOV SITE)

 Another government website hacked
The Film and Publication Board’s (FPB) website, hosted at http://www.fpb.gov.za, is the latest government website to be hacked.
Visitors to the FPB website on Monday were greeted by the message “Hacked By Dr.KroOoZ - By.NeShTeR / TTG” and the PHP error code “Fatal error: Class 'JConfig' not found in…”
The recent security breaches are often related to software which is not updated, and since the FPB’s website is built on the popular Joomla Open Source Software (OSS) regular security updates are necessary to avoid hacking vulnerabilities.
Details about the FPB hacking are as yet unknown, and at the time of publication the hacking message still displayed on all web pages. It is not clear when the website will be restored.
The FPB website hacking follows security breaches of the ANC and ANC Youth League websites over the last month.
Many ANC Youth League (ANCYL) visitors were surprised on 30 March when the message “Julius Malema to Step Down as Youth League President” featured as the main story.
The ANCYL website was taken down for a short period of time after the security breach, and the article was subsequently deleted.
The ANC website was also hacked a few days ago, redirecting visitors to a Turkish website.
According to City Press, ANC spokesperson and national executive committee member Jackson Mthembu said the hacking was in bad taste, and vowed to “unhack” the website.

Israel Hit By Demolishing Cyber Attack From Anonymous Caused $3 Billion Damage (#OpIsrael)

VOGH Exclusive: Israel Hit By Demolishing Cyber Attack From Anonymous Caused $3 Billion Damage (#OpIsrael)

The past 7th April will be unforgettable for Israeli cyber space, yes it was no doubt the black day for Israel, when the World's largest hacker group "Anonymous" with help of several other hackers communities caused ruin while bringing down almost all the Israeli Government websites, along with more that 100,000 other important Israeli websites, 40,000 Facebook pages, 5,000 Twitter accounts and 30,000 bank accounts belonging to Israeli people. The hacker group not only demolished the cyber space of Israel, but also caused a loss of 3 billion USD. This never forgettable hacking rampage dubbed Operation Israel became the most devastating and venturesome hacking rampage ever happened to the Israeli cyber space. In the last week of March, it was dangerous hacker collective group Anonymous who called the operation widely known as #OpIsrael, where the hacker group vows to erase Israel from the Internet. And indeed the hacker group did that, According to several Israeli source, leading media outlets it has been confirmed that almost all the important sites owned by the Government of Israel have been  either hacked and paralyzed. These sites include the site of the Israeli Police, Israeli Prime Minister, Bureau of StatisticsIsraeli intelligence agency Mossad, Stock Market and the Israel Ministry of Defense and many more. Regardless of the amount of damage done, the scale of the attack is bound to be embarrassing for the Israeli government. This is the second time that Anonymous has successfully taken down Israeli government websites. The first #OpIsrael attack happened last November and affected Israeli cyber fence heavily. Like the last November, this time also the reaction of Israel Government was indifferent and unconcerned. Despite of what Anonymous's claims of massive damage to Israel, the country's cyber security officials say that the attack caused minimal damage. "So far it is as was expected, there is hardly any real damage," Yitzhak Ben Yisrael from the government's National Cyber Bureau told the press. "Anonymous doesn't have the skills to damage the country's vital infrastructure. And if that was its intention, then it wouldn't have announced the attack ahead of time. It wants to create noise in the media about issues that are close to its heart." This is more or less what Anonymous always does, often with varying levels of success.

Sony: Credit data at risk in PlayStation hacking Network shut down; info on 77 million users said compromised halted

Sony Corp. said Tuesday that the credit card data of PlayStation users around the world may have been stolen in a hack that forced it to shut down its PlayStation Network for the past week, disconnecting 77 million user accounts.
Some players brushed off the breach as a common hazard of operating in a connected world, and Sony said some services would be restored in a week. But industry experts said the scale of the breach was staggering and could cost the company billions of dollars.
"Simply put, one of the worst breaches we've seen in several years," said Josh Shaul, chief technology officer for Application Security Inc., a New York-based company that is one of the country's largest database security software makers.
Sony said it has no direct evidence credit card information was taken, but said, "we cannot rule out the possibility."
It said the intrusion was "malicious" and the company had hired an outside security firm to investigate. It has taken steps to rebuild its system to provide greater protection for personal information and warned users to contact credit agencies and set up fraud alerts.
"Our teams are working around the clock on this, and services will be restored as soon as possible," it said in a blog post Tuesday.
The company shut down the network last Wednesday after it said account information, including names, birth dates, e-mail addresses and log-in information was compromised for certain players in the days prior.
Sony says people in 59 nations use the PlayStation network. Of the 77 million user accounts, about 36 million are in the U.S. and elsewhere in the Americas, 32 million in Europe and 9 million in Asia, mostly in Japan.
Purchase history and credit card billing address information may also have been stolen, but the intruder did not obtain the three-digit security code on the back of cards, Sony said. Spokesman Satoshi Fukuoka said the company has not received any reports yet of credit card fraud or abuse resulting from the breach.
Shaul said that not having direct proof of credit card information theft should not instill a sense of security, and could mean Sony just didn't know what files were touched.
"They indicated that they're worried about it, which is probably a very strong indication that everything was stolen," he said.
If the intruder successfully stole credit card data, the heist would rank among the biggest known thefts of financial data.
Recent major hacks included some 130 million card numbers stolen from payment processor Heartland Payment Systems. As many as 100 million accounts were lifted in a break-in at TJX Cos., the chain that owns discount retailers T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, and some 4.2 million card numbers were stolen from East Coast grocery chain Hannaford Bros. Those attacks allegedly involved a single person: Albert Gonzalez, a Miami hacker who was sentenced last year to 20 years in prison for the attacks.
The Ponemon Institute, a data-security research firm, estimated that the cost of a data breach involving a malicious or criminal act averaged $318 per compromised record in 2010, up 48 percent from the year earlier.
That could pin the potential cost of the PlayStation breach at more than $24 billion.
Alan Paller, director of research for the SANS Institute, a security training organization, said that even if credit numbers weren't stolen, knowing someone's name, e-mail address and which games he or she likes can lead to expertly crafted scam e-mails. Knowing billing histories can be even more harmful, since they can identify big spenders.

Google Pakistan Along With Microsoft  HP, HSBC, Apple, PayPal, Blogspot Hacked & Defaced By Turkish Hacker

Today was most probably the worst day in the history of Pakistan cyber space. Ten big domains of Pakistan has been stroked very badly. Many of you are guessing that it was Indian hackers who cost this damage. But in reality the attack was not generated from India, Bangladesh or such any other native countries,  but it was a Turkish hacker who have reportedly taken down the home and search page of Google Pakistan while leaving an image of two penguins walking across a bridge for million of users. I think now you got that, yes it was Google Pakistan which has been hacked and defaced by a Turkey hacker code named "KriptekS". In the deface page the hacker left several messages in Turkish language, the translation of the text, written on the website, is: "eboz. My homies in a friend always there for me. Have not shot by me with every breath." Also the hacker left a message saying "Pakistan Downed" which is indicating that the home page of Google Pakistan is indeed take down. According to deface mirror on Zone-H, the attack took place around 02:17 in the afternoon, but still, when I am writing this article, the home page of Google Pakistan is still offline.
May be you are thinking that the story is over, but no; as I told earlier it was the worst day for Pakistani cyber fence, trust me indeed it was. As along with Google, KriptekS, the Turkish hacker also targeted Pakistani domain of Blogger, HSBC, Coca-Cola, Fanta, Paypal, Microsoft, HP & Apple. But what we can say is that "KriptekS" exactly followed the same path, which Pak hackers shown the world few days ago.

#OpIsrael Continues: KHS & MLA Hacked Several Israeli Govt Websites & Leaked Sensitive Data

Muslim Liberation Army (MLA) & Kosova Hacker Security (KHS) Joins Operation Isreal & Hacked Several Israeli Govt Websites & Leaked Sensitive Data

Operation Israel the devastating hacking rampage continues and becoming more and more venturesome for the Israeli cyber space. In the last week of March, it was dangerous hacker collective group Anonymous who called the operation also dubbed #OpIsrael, where the hacker group vows to erase Israel from the Internet. And as expected this is happening, the first quake came from Turkey-based Marxist hacker group named RedHack and Anonymous, where they targeted Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and breached personal data of 35K officials. Operation Israel, was not among those typical rampage of Anonymous, here Anon called other hackers from different part of of the spectrum to join. First it was RedHack who responded, and now the Muslim Liberation Army lead by Pakistani hacker Hitcher, along with Kosova Hacker's Security & few other Albanian hacker's community joined #OpIsrael
Yesterday it was Hitcher from Muslim Liberation Army (MLA) who targeted Israel’s Ministry of National Infrastructures (MNI). The hacker managed to breach the server of Israel Ministry and defaced several website belongs to Israel Ministry of Infrastructures. The attack took place at yesterday late night, but still at the time of writing the news, several Israel MNI websites are not performing. Not only MNI, as per sources several other high profile and Israeli government sites have also been taken down in this round attack. While covering this hack of Hitcher, we must have to recap the previous hack of  Pakistan hackers who are constantly against Israel (for Gaza issue) causing massive cyber attack against leading IT industry of Israel and other high profile Israeli sites. Just a couple of months ago, the world seen what it call the black day in the history if Israeli cyber space where another Pak hackers community hacked the main domain controller of Israel, which causes a massive hack against almost all the big Israeli sites such as government, MSN, Bing, Live, Skype, Microsoft Store, BBC, CNN, Coca-Colla, XBOX, Windows, Intel & many more.

During the hacking rampage, Hitcher delivered the following message -
“We are outraged at the Palestine present condition and the Illegal occupation of Palestinian Land By the Zionist Israelis. This attack is in response to the Injustice against the Palestinian people. Occupied Palestinian land under the guise of residential settlements are being increased. Palestinians are deprived of their basic human rights. International Aid workers are stopped from providing any humanitarian assistance to the people. The International community and media is not allowed to bring facts to world as due to strict restrictions”

On the other hand, Kosova Hacker's Security along with few other Albanian hacker's community performed, what it called a demolishing cyber attack, that caused huge damage to the Israeli cyber space. During the attack Kosova Hacker's Security also known as KHS hit several important Israeli government & commercial websites such as  Civil Aviation Authority, Israel Police, Ministry of Health and many more. KHS caused damage to those websites, not by doing defacement by causing data leak. KHS hacked and exposed thousands of sensitive data, including full name, email-id, passwords and other confidential information of those said Israeli websites. All those leaked data have been made available by the hackers in a website called pentagoncrew.com All those hacks have been performed under the banner of Operation Israel also dubbed #OpIsrael for the cause of GazaFor instance, here we can recap the hack of Kosova Hackers Security (KHS) where they hacked and exposed personal data of 35,000 Israeli people.

At conclusion, we want to say that, at the time when Anonymous first called Operation IsraelIsraeli government presumed that they have taken the threat very seriously and from the government end it has been  stated that they will take almost every steps to avoid any kind of disaster. Now after observing the above scenario it is clear that Israel Government have completely failed to protect their cyber space, in spite of having precaution. Also another thing get spot light, that is different hackers community have already came under a single shade in order to hit Israel against Gaza & Palestine issue. Today is the historical 7th April, I mean the day which Anonymous promised to erase Israel from the Internet. So the clock is running, lets see what more is about to come.  for the time stay tuned with VOGH to get all the latest update on this story and also other cyber issues.
