Anonymous Retaliates For Megaupload Shutdown & Bring Down DOJ & FBI (#OpMegaupload)

Federal authorities shut down one of the Web’s most popular sites Thursday on charges that it illegally shared movies, television shows, e-books and so on. In the payback hacktvist Anonymous called #OpMegaupload performed "The Largest Attack Ever" where 5,635 Anon people bring down the websites of Universal Music, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Recording Industry Association of America while using one of the world's most popular and vastly used DDoSer LOIC.

"The government takes down Megaupload? 15 minutes later Anonymous takes down government and record label sites,"  Tweeted by Anonymous. That note was followed shortly by this one: "Megaupload was taken down w/out SOPA being law. Now imagine what will happen if it passes. The Internet as we know it will end. FIGHT BACK." The tweet referred to the Stop Online Piracy Act, an Internet piracy bill being considered in the U.S. Congress.
Detailing the attacks, which are being dubbed as the largest performed by the group, via numerous Twitter feeds, @YourAnonNews said: "You cannot censor the internet. You cannot subpoena a hashtag. You cannot arrest an idea. You CAN expect us #OpMegaupload"

The link is a page on the anonymous web hosting site pastehtml. It link loads a web-based version of the program Anonymous has used for years to DDoS websites: Low Orbit Ion Cannon. (LOIC). When activated, LOIC rapidly reloads a target website, and if enough users point LOIC at a site at once, it can crash from the traffic. Judging from a Twitter search, the link is being shared at a rate of about 4 times a minute, mostly by Spanish-speaking users, for some reason. (Here's a link to the Twitter search, just don't click the PasteHTML link.)
The thing is, DDoSing is a criminal offense that could earn you 10 years in prison, if you do it intentionally. With previous versions of LOIC, participants had to acknowledge this risk and press a button labeled "fire." But now, it appears some enterprising anonymous member has retooled it so that it automatically fires if you click an unassuming link and leave a window open.
Megaupload.com distributed a variety of digital content, including music and movies. Investigators say Megaupload’s executives made more than $175 million through subscription fees and online ads while robbing authors, movie producers, musicians and other copyright holders of more than $500 million. “This action is among the largest criminal copyright cases ever brought by the United States,” the Justice Department and FBI said in a statement.
On Thursday, the U.S. DOJ announced that it had charged seven people who allegedly were affiliated with the site with running an organized criminal enterprise responsible for worldwide online piracy of copyrighted content. The DOJ worked with authorities in New Zealand, who arrested four of the seven people.

Teen Hacker "Cosmo the God" of Underground Nazi Sentenced 6 Yrs Internet Ban By California Court

Teen Hacker "Cosmo the God" of Underground Nazi Sentenced 6 Yrs Internet Ban By California Court

A teenager hacker from an infamous hacker collective group named Underground Nazi faced Internet ban. On Wednesday the 15 years old hacker known as "Cosmo" or "Cosmo the God" was sentenced in juvenile court in Long Beach, California. According to sources, Cosmo pleaded guilty to multiple felonies in exchange for a probation, encompassing all the charges brought against him, which included charges based on credit card fraud, identity theft, bomb threats, and online impersonation.
This newly formed hacker group Underground Nazi had taken the spot light in January this year, when they hacked UFC.com (Ultimate Fighting Championship). Later they involved them selves in mass protest against controversial privacy act SOPA & PIPA. The protest was dubbed Operation Megaupload (#OpMegaupload), where hacktivist Anonymous  along with hackers around the globe stand together against the take down of Megaupload.com. In the middle of 2012 Cosmo was also responsible for Twitter outage, where Cosmo along with few other UG Nazi members performed massive denial of service attack to interrupt the service of Twitter. Also it has been found that, Cosmo pioneered social-engineering techniques that allowed him to gain access to user accounts at Amazon, PayPal, and a slew of other companies. He was arrested in June during a part of a multi-state FBI sting.
Representatives from both the Long Beach district attorney and public defenders offices refused to comment on the case, given Cosmo’s status as a juvenile. However, according to Cosmo, the terms of the plea place him on probation until his 21st birthday. During that time, he cannot use the internet without prior consent from his parole officer. Nor will he be allowed to use the Internet in an unsupervised manner, or for any purposes other than education-related ones. He is required to hand over all of his account logins and passwords. He must disclose in writing any devices that he has access to that have the capability to connect to a network. He is prohibited from having contact with any members or associates of UG Nazi or Anonymous, along with a specified list of other individuals. He had to forfeit all the computers and other items seized in the raid on his home. Also, according to Cosmo, violating any of these terms will result in a three-year prison term. The probationary period lasting until age 21 is standard, but other terms were more surprising.

Anonymous Threatened To Bring-down Entire Internet By Attacking DNS

Anonymous Threatened  To Bring-down Entire Internet By Attacking DNS
Infamous Anonymous has threatened  to bring down a substantial portion of the entire Internet by attacking the domain name system (DNS) on March 31, 2012. The attack will be part of protest of FBI recent movement of arresting key members of Lulz & Anon as well as the group confirmed that not only this issue but also the attack has a solid relation over the recent take down of the file-sharing website Megaupload. In short it will be the second phase of Operation Megaupload (#OpMegaupload). You can say its a tit for tat by Anonymous. For your reminder FBI also vows to shutdown the DNSChanger name servers on the 8th of this month.
Anonymous members most likely will employ a relatively little-known technique called DNS amplification, which cleverly tricks mis-configured DNS servers into spewing out torrents of useless data that in turn cause other DNS servers to add to the chaos by producing even more useless data that overwhelms limited traffic-handling capacity. Theoretically, the cascade of out-of-control servers could swamp the ability of the Internet to cope, causing millions of websites to seemingly disappear. The financial fallout from being unable to gain access to the websites of online retailers, banks and other institutions could be enormous. Though experts seriously doubt that Anonymous or another group can credibly reduce the Internet to shambles in the near future, but the longer-term outlook is dimmer.

Files Sharing Sites Has been Blocked In India

Files Sharing Sites like Megaupload, Rapidshare has been Blocked In India to stop piracy. The block is implemented because of a court order from Reliance Big Pictures which is trying to stop piracy of their new release Singham. Popular Internet Service Providers MTNL, BSNL and Airtel users have confirmed this activity.

Reliance BIG Pictures got a “John Doe” order allowing them to service cease and desist notices on movie pirates pirating the film Singham, Mahesh Rangathantan, COO at Reliance Entertainment, told MediaNama. Singham is releasing in theatres tomorrow. What is unique about this order through, according to Big Pictures VP (Music and Anti Piracy) Sanjay Tandon, is that it also covers Internet Service Providers, and not just people selling pirated DVDs or cable operators. “A John Doe order is given against unidentified people, because the copyright owner doesn’t know who is going to infringe. We anticipate that certain entities are going to infringe, and the Delhi High Court has granted us a John Doe order,” Tandon said.
Yesterday, Airtel Broadband users reported that several file sharing websites like MediaFire had been inaccessible, and a notice was displayed, stating that the site has been blocked on request of Department of Telecom. A traceroute search suggested that the block was instituted at Flag Telecom. Our readers also indicated that with certain other ISPs – Zylog and MTNL Triband – the file sharing sites were not accessible.

Tandon said that the order doesn’t necessitate blocking an entire website, but only that ISPs should not make the film Singham accessible: the order only pertains to the access of the film. “Our only appeal with this order is that you cannot make the film available through your network. It’s a matter for the ISPs to look into, because it becomes their liabiltiy.”

Anonymous Tricked Their Supporter Into Installing Zeus Trojan - Said Symantec

Anonymous Tricked Their Supporter Into Installing Zeus Trojan - Said Symantec

Remember the Operation Megaupload (#OpMegaupload) the largest attack ever where 5,635 Anon people bring down the websites of Universal Music, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Recording Industry Association of America while using one of the world's most popular and vastly used DDoSer LOIC.
Now Security software company Symantec have discovered that a piece of Anonymous-recommended DDoS software called Slowloris contained an insidious Trojan that was stealing financial info from people using it. According to the official blog post of Symantec on the 20th day of January after Kim Dotcom was arrested, Anonymous was frequently shearing few pastebin links which was containing the download link of Slowloris which led to a trojanized copy that installed the Zeus trojan on users' systems. The compromised download then replaced itself with a clean version of the tool to avoid detection.

"It is worth highlighting how Anonymous supporters have been deceived into installing Zeus botnet clients purportedly for the purpose of DoS attacks. The Zeus client does perform DoS attacks, but it doesn’t stop there. It also steals the users' online banking credentials, webmail credentials, and cookies."
"When the Trojanized Slowloris tool is downloaded and executed by an Anonymous supporter, a Zeus (also known as Zbot) botnet client is installed. After installation of the Zeus botnet client, the malware dropper attempts to conceal the infection by replacing itself with the real Slowloris DoS tool. Zeus is an advanced malware program that cannot be easily removed. The Zeus client is being actively used to record and send financial banking credentials and webmail credentials to the botnet operator. Additionally, the botnet is being used to force participation in DoS attacks against Web pages known to be targets of Anonymous hacktivism campaigns."

Anonymous Shutdown Greek Ministry of Justice

Greece Under Cyber Attack, Anonymous Bring Down The Website Of Greek Ministry of Justice

After releasing the sensitive conference call now hacker collective group Anonymous has targeted the cyber fence of Greece. They have launched a cyber-attack on the Greek Ministry of Justice website, and warned of plans to target a further 300 ministry and media sites. The hack was apparently a protest against the Greek government's signing of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), which is designed to reduce internet piracy.
"You have introduced a new dictatorship upon your people's shoulders and allowed the bankers and the monarchs of the EU to enslave them both economically and politically," the group's message said. "You have joined the IMF (International Monetary Fund) against your people's acquiescence…democracy was given birth in your country but now you have killed it," the hackers added.
In a message left on the Greek Justice Ministry's website, the group threatened to take down 'all the media in Greece' unless the Greek government retracts its support for the global treaty, which Britain has also signed. The website was briefly listed as 'under construction' following the attack, but was amended to display the following message from the online collective:
'We know EVERYTHING, We have your PASSWORDS , We are watching YOU.
NEXT TARGET WILL BE ALL THE MEDIA IN GREECE. ( ertTV , etc )
WE HAVE MOST OF THE MEDIA WEBSITES ADMIN PASSWORDS.
We are Legion . This is JUST the BEGINING.
www.ministryofjustice.gr is just an example of what we are capable of!
You have 2 weeks to stop ACTA in Greece otherwhise we will do CYBERWARFARE by defacing 300 sites and all the media and ministries.'

Greek police said via Twitter that their cyber-crime division had already begun an investigation into the Ministry of Justice attack. Few days ago for ACTA protest another hacktivist group Teamgreyhat has hacked more than 7K websites. Also in Operation Megaupload  Anonymous has performed massive cyber attack on federal authorities, Brazil Govt, US Govt, Ireland Govt, CBS and many more.

Sabu Former #LulzSec #Anonymous Leader Working As An Informant For FBI (Key-Members of LulzSec Arrested)

Sabu Former #LulzSec #Anonymous Leader Was Working As An Informant For FBI (Key Members of LulzSec Arrested)
Several members of the LulzSec and Anonymous hacking groups were arrested this morning by the Federal Bureau of Investigations. It is reported that the arrests were made possible after turning the group’s "senior leader", Hector Xavier Monsegur aka "Sabu", 28, who is believed to be a cooperative witness after the FBI turned him last June. Monsegur pled guilty to several charges of computer hacking conspiracy, for which he could receive a maximum of 124 years behind bars. Those arrested today included a member of the AntiSec hacking group who is believed responsible for the massive intrusion at security think tank Stratfor last December.
A law enforcement official in New York confirmed the arrests and said that six hackers belonging to the Anonymous, LulzSec and Antisec groups were nabbed in U.S. and overseas locations. The official described those arrested as "principal members" of Anonymous and LulzSec. The five hackers are identified in the report as Ryan Ackroyd, aka "Kayla" and Jake Davis, aka "Topiary" from London, two residents of Ireland, Darren Martyn, aka "pwnsauce" and Donncha O'Cearrbhail, aka "palladium", and Jeremy Hammond aka "Anarchaos," from Chicago, USA. According to the FBI press release, all but Davis face charges of computer hacking conspiracy and various other charges. Each carries a maximum 10 year prison sentence.
According to Anonymous Twitter feed: "We are Legion. We do not have a leader nor will we ever. LulzSec was a group, but Anonymous is a movement. Groups come and go, ideas remain"
It is unclear what to expect from Anonymous in reaction to the arrests. The hacking group is known for revenge cyber attacks. After 25 Anonymous members were arrested on February 29, the group downed Interpol’s main website. The same thing happened when the CIA website became a victim of Anonymous. The group also downed several large music industry, Department of Justice, FBI and many other federal authorities websites in response to the shutting down of Megaupload and the arrest of its founder Kim Dotcom.
News of Sabu's arrest prompted several tweets from Anonymous this morning, including one that threatened retaliation. "The way Sabu & gang took control of Anonops.. anonops gonna retaliate," the tweet said.

UFC.com (Ultimate Fighting Championship) Hacked By Underground Nazi
The official website of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) was hacked. The main object behind this attack was to protest against SOPA and PIPA. Sometime around 5pm EST the UFC homepage was taken over by a group identifying themselves as the “Underground Nazi H4ck3rGr0up”. The splash page featured a bizarre anime-style sketch of Adolf Hitler with the names of the guilty parties. Hackers said UFC publicly supporting SOPA and PIPA so they have launched this attack.

The above tweet came from the hacker which is clearly saying that this attack is a part of ongoing #SOPABlackout protest. Few days ago the Federal Authorities have shutdown Megaupload.com. In return hacktivist Anonymous started #OpMegaupload & bring down US Dept. Of Justice, FBI & many other federal authorities sites. Later Anonymous attacked websites of Brazil's federal district and Tangara da Serra city. Also yesterday we have given a statistic where it was clearly shown that more than 66,500 people from different part of the world have downloaded LOIC and taken part in #OpMegaupload. Anonymous Hacker "Havittaja" Bring-down CIA & Department of Justice

Anonymous Hacker "Havittaja" Bring-down CIA & Department of Justice Website

Hacker from infamous Anonymous claimed to take down the official website of U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) & Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Here also hackers followed their older tradition by engaging massive denial of service (DoS) attack to send the target offline. Due to large number of traffic CIA website was inaccessible for 45 mins. A Brazilian hacker code named "Havittaja" took responsibility of this attack by saying saying it was done for the "lulz", which refers to the popular online abbreviation "for laughs".

We have seen similar attack on CIA in last February, there also Anonymous took responsibility of that cyber attack and also claimed that this is yet another biggest denial of service attack of this year. We would also like to refresh your memory while saying not only Anonymous but also a hacker group named "CyberZeist" has revealed some classified information regarding the official website of CIA. He also exposed server details, DNS information, administrator login panel and so on. Even the hacker group leaked certain information about five undercover CIA agent's including real name, age, full postal address, banking details, credit card information, email-id & passwords. If you dig the history we will find that in 2011 Lulzsec hit CIA & SOCA with massive DDoS attack which immediately sent the website offline for a certain period of time.
If you talk about Department of Justice then we need to dig the 1st page of Operation Megaupload where hacktivist shutdown the official website of DOJ & FBI
