A Man From India Jailed For Posting "Communal & Inflammatory" Post on Facebook (#Censorship)

A Man From India Jailed For Posting "Communal & Inflammatory" Post on Facebook (#Censorship)
Freedom of social media in India has been revoked, as the Indian govt has implemented several policy by which they made the social network completely censored. Though this step has been criticized randomly but the decisions has remain unchanged. And the result is in front of us; when a man from Agra get busted. The incident occurs immediately after he made a posts on social networking site Facebook targeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, union Communications Minister Kapil Sibal and Uttar Pradesh's ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. According to police the post which the man from Agra made violated the policy of Indian govt and that's why it is taken as "communal and inflammatory." the man named Sanjay Chowdhary, a resident of the Dayalbagh suburb of Agra, was arrested late Monday and his laptop, sim card and data card impounded.
Police in Agra, about 360 km from here, said the arrest, which some see as an attempt to muzzle freedom of speech and expression on social networking sites, that the arrest was made on "specific information" about certain "communal and inflammatory" posts by Chowdhary. However, officials here admitted that the "case became hypersensitive after some remarks were made on the SP chief".
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Agra, Subhash Chandra Dubey said police had acted "purely on law and order basis" in the matter.
"We are not involved in the political angle of the whole issue, our concern were the inflammatory comments and posts on the Facebook wall of this man and we acted to prevent any communal flare up," Dubey told the media. Some officials, however, said the case was "fast tracked" once cartoons lampooning the three leaders were posted on his Facebook wall.
Soon after his arrest, the inflammatory posts were deleted from his Facebook profile and later his account was deactivated. Chowdhury, a civil engineer and chairman of a public school, was booked under sections 153 A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 66 A of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
"We have arrested him and he is being sent to jail under the due process of law," a police official said.

Anonymous Hacked MIT Website & Left Tribute Message For Aaron Swartz

Anonymous Hacked MIT Website & Left Tribute Message For Aaron Swartz

We have just passed a few days when the shocking news of Aaron Swartz's suicide take down the entire Internet and specially the cyber world. Swartz, a political activist and computer programmer, reportedly hanged himself last week in his Brooklyn apartment as he awaited trial on 13 felony counts for downloading and publishing roughly 4 million academic journal articles from the database JSTOR. Hours after the Massachusetts Institute of Technology posted a pledge to investigate its involvement in events associated with the suicide of Aaron Swartz. But this step of MIT was not enough as the hacktivist group Anonymous taken this issue very seriously and started a campaign in which they targeted several websites of MIT. From 4 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. PT on Sunday evening, M.I.T.'s network lost access to most websites, including mit.edu, where Anonymous posted a red-lettered tribute message in Swartz's honor saying -

“Whether or not the government contributed to his suicide, the government’s prosecution of Swartz was a grotesque miscarriage of justice, a distorted and perverse shadow of the justice that Aaron died fighting for — freeing the publicly-funded scientific literature from a publishing system that makes it inaccessible to most of those who paid for it — enabling the collective betterment of the world through the facilitation of sharing — an ideal that we should all support,”

Kimberly Allen, the media relations manager at M.I.T., did not immediately respond to a call from TheWrap requesting comment.
M.I.T. President Rafael Reif asked computer science professor Hal Abelson on Sunday to "lead a thorough analysis of M.I.T.'s involvement from" in Swartz's case. According to sources The Department of Justice dropped charges against Swartz on Monday, standard policy for when a defendant dies. JSTOR, which said it settled its claims against Swartz in June 2011, said it was "saddened" to hear of his death.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to Aaron’s family, friends, and everyone who loved, knew, and admired him," it said in a post on its website. "He was a truly gifted person who made important contributions to the development of the internet and the web from which we all benefit."

Here is the full Message of Anonymous posted on MIT's website:-

"In Memoriam, Aaron Swartz, November 8, 1986 – January 11, 2013, Requiescat in pace.
A brief message from Anonymous.
Whether or not the government contributed to his suicide, the government’s prosecution of Swartz was a grotesque miscarriage of justice, a distorted and perverse shadow of the justice that Aaron died fighting for — freeing the publicly-funded scientific literature from a publishing system that makes it inaccessible to most of those who paid for it — enabling the collective betterment of the world through the facilitation of sharing — an ideal that we should all support.
Moreover, the situation Aaron found himself in highlights the injustice of U.S. computer crime laws, particularly their punishment regimes, and the highly-questionable justice of pre-trial bargaining. Aaron’s act was undoubtedly political activism; it had tragic consequences.
Our wishes
  • We call for this tragedy to be a basis for reform of computer crime laws, and the overzealous prosecutors who use them.
  • We call for this tragedy to be a basis for reform of copyright and intellectual property law, returning it to the proper principles of common good to the many, rather than private gain to the few.
  • We call for this tragedy to be a basis for greater recognition of the oppression and injustices heaped daily by certain persons and institutions of authority upon anyone who dares to stand up and be counted for their beliefs, and for greater solidarity and mutual aid in response.
  • We call for this tragedy to be a basis for a renewed and unwavering commitment to a free and unfettered internet, spared from censorship with equality of access and franchise for all.
For in the end, we will not be judged according to what we give, but according to what we keep to ourselves.
Aaron, we will sorely miss your friendship, and your help in building a better world. May you read in peace.

Who was Aaron Swartz? A hero in the SOPA/PIPA campaign, Reddit cofounder, RSS, Demand Progress, Avaaz, etc…:

Guerilla Open Access Manifesto
Information is power. But like all power, there are those who want to keep it for themselves. The world’s entire scientific and cultural heritage, published over centuries in books and journals, is increasingly being digitized and locked up by a handful of private corporations. Want to read the papers featuring the most famous results of the sciences? You’ll need to send enormous amounts to publishers like Reed Elsevier.
There are those struggling to change this. The Open Access Movement has fought valiantly to ensure that scientists do not sign their copyrights away but instead ensure their work is published on the Internet, under terms that allow anyone to access it. But even under the best scenarios, their work will only apply to things published in the future. Everything up until now will have been lost.
That is too high a price to pay. Forcing academics to pay money to read the work of their colleagues? Scanning entire libraries but only allowing the folks at Google to read them? Providing scientific articles to those at elite universities in the First World, but not to children in the Global South? It’s outrageous and unacceptable.
“I agree,” many say, “but what can we do? The companies hold the copyrights, they make enormous amounts of money by charging for access, and it’s perfectly legal — there’s nothing we can do to stop them.” But there is something we can, something that’s already being done: we can fight back.
Those with access to these resources — students, librarians, scientists — you have been given a privilege. You get to feed at this banquet of knowledge while the rest of the world is locked out. But you need not — indeed, morally, you cannot — keep this privilege for yourselves. You have a duty to share it with the world. And you have: trading passwords with colleagues, filling download requests for friends.
Meanwhile, those who have been locked out are not standing idly by. You have been sneaking through holes and climbing over fences, liberating the information locked up by the publishers and sharing them with your friends.
But all of this action goes on in the dark, hidden underground. It’s called stealing or piracy, as if sharing a wealth of knowledge were the moral equivalent of plundering a ship and murdering its crew. But sharing isn’t immoral — it’s a moral imperative. Only those blinded by greed would refuse to let a friend make a copy.
Large corporations, of course, are blinded by greed. The laws under which they operate require it — their shareholders would revolt at anything less. And the politicians they have bought off back them, passing laws giving them the exclusive power to decide who can make copies.
There is no justice in following unjust laws. It’s time to come into the light and, in the grand tradition of civil disobedience, declare our opposition to this private theft of public culture.
We need to take information, wherever it is stored, make our copies and share them with the world. We need to take stuff that’s out of copyright and add it to the archive. We need to buy secret databases and put them on the Web. We need to download scientific journals and upload them to file sharing networks. We need to fight for Guerilla Open Access.
With enough of us, around the world, we’ll not just send a strong message opposing the privatization of knowledge — we’ll make it a thing of the past. Will you join us?

(Postscript: We tender apologies to the administrators at MIT for this temporary use of their websites. We understand that it is a time of soul-searching for all those within this great institution as much — perhaps for some involved even more so — than it is for the greater internet community. We do not consign blame or responsibility upon MIT for what has happened, but call for all those feel heavy-hearted in their proximity to this awful loss to acknowledge instead the responsibility they have — that we all have — to build and safeguard a future that would make Aaron proud, and honour the ideals and dedication that burnt so brightly within him by embodying them in thought and word and action..."

VOGH Reaction:- There is nothing much to say, we are speechless after what happened. Swartz suicide is surely a defeat of freedom. Last but not least VOGH team along with the whole cyber world will miss Aaron Swartz, RIP!

US National Archives Has Blocked Search Containing 'WikiLeaks'

US National Archives Has Blocked Search Containing 'WikiLeaks'

The movement of WikiLeaks faced another bar, as the searches for “WikiLeaks” in the public search engine for the US National Archives have been blocked. Any search containing the word “WikiLeaks (like “Congress” and “WikiLeaks”; "Obama" and "WikiLeaks") turns up an error message saying "The page you have requested has been blocked, because the URL is banned" as shown the picture below.

The whistle blowing website of WikiLeaks already lashed out at the move, saying the Archives has  literally turned into “Orwell’s Ministry of Truth.” In a tweet the official twitter account of WikiLeaks said “The US state is literally eating its own brain by censoring its own collective memories about WikiLeaks.” And, in another tweet WikiLeaks said, “The US National Archives censoring searches for its records containing the word ‘WikiLeaks’ is absolutely absurd.”
The block is likely to be in line with the “Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act,” a form of internet censorship the US adopted back in 2010. It did not become law, but it prompted various US government agencies such as the White House Office of Management and Budget and the US Air Force to advise their employees not to read or access classified documents being made available by sites like WikiLeaks. The Library of Congress went further by blocking access to WikiLeaks content from its server in 2010. According to the official blog post of  Library of Congress “The Library decided to block Wikileaks because applicable law obligates federal agencies to protect classified information.  Unauthorized disclosures of classified documents do not alter the documents’ classified status or automatically result in declassification of the documents.” The White House’s Office of Management and Budget today provided the guidance that “federal agencies collectively, and each federal employee and contractor individually, are obligated to protect classified information pursuant to all applicable laws, as well as to protect the integrity of government information technology systems.” -said Matt Raymond in the blog post of LOC.
Though it is unknown when the Archives began blocking searches, but according to diplomatic cables released over the past months the US Justice Department’s investigation targeting of both Assange and WikiLeaks is real. So may be this block has connection or may be a return from the U.S. Govt of the last release of WikiLeaks that is  'Detainee Policies'  in what it said more than 100 classified or otherwise restricted files from the United States Department of Defense covering the rules and procedures for detainees in U.S. military custody. At the moment WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London as the UK has forcefully asserted that it will deny him safe passage to Ecuador. Ecuador granted Assange political asylum in August over fears that if extradited to Sweden, Assange could be transferred to the US and once there, face execution.

Anonymous Targets Australian Govt Sites Over Internet Privacy Laws

Anonymous Targets Australian Govt Sites Over Changes in Internet Privacy Laws

The Australian Government has became the latest victim of international hacker collective group Anonymous. At least 10 of the country's government websites were sent offline in a series of attacks over proposed changes to Internet privacy laws. The first attacks were conducted in conjunction with Prime Minister Julia Gillard's online Q&A session this weekend, Anonymous. So far, the only targeted sites are run by the Queensland State Government.
Site List:-

If an Australian online security bill gets passed into law, it could require ISPs to store user activity for a period of two years, allowing Web users' every online move to be watched by the government.
In response, the Australian arm of Anonymous threatened to continue its attacks on ".gov.au" sites until the bill is halted.
Anonymous said  the sites were specifically chosen because the group had “proof” that small to medium businesses, education departments, student and personal accounts had been tracked by the State Government. “The Australian Government is attempting to strip away its citizens’ internet rights by forcing them to surrender passwords and internet usage data,” Anonymous Australia said via email. “Unless the Government starts acting in the best interest of its people, it will continue to bring the noise.” The hackers said the attacks were in response to changes being discussed by the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS).
Not only Internet privacy but also Anonymous confirmed that its actions were also in response to recent denials of Australian-born WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's extradition
A Department of Defence spokesperson said the department was aware of the reports of Australian attacks but did not publicly comment or discuss details of cyber incidents. "Defence, through the Cyber Security Operations Centre, works with affected government agencies, as required, to help mitigate threats to information security," the spokesperson said. A spokesperson for Federal Attorney-General Nicola Roxon said it was critical Australia's national security capability could keep up with technology and global security. "We must always stay a step ahead of terrorists, cyber criminals and organised criminals who threaten our national security," the spokesperson said.
This is not the first time, earlier the world have seen several protest generated from all over the world against Internet censorship. In case of SOPA, PIPA & ACTA hackers from different part generated massive cyber attack. Even Wikipedia go dark for 24 hrs.

'Operation Godfather'- Hackers Breached UAE's Internet Filtering System

'Operation Godfather'- Hackers Breached UAE's Internet Filtering System

A hacker code named "Isac" affiliated by hacktivist Anonymous claims to have had administrative access to UAE's internet filter systems. The hacker also took responsibility for leaking a list of 24,000 websites that are blocked in the UAE at the beginning of July. The alleged UAE hack was conducted under the name 'Operation Godfather'. On Sunday, Isac released a list of thousands of website addresses which are blocked in Yemen.
Isac said that the alleged hack had been carried out on June 26. "I found the vulnerability a few months before," he said. "I had full admin access. I basically had control over the internet of every single user of du." The claims could not be independently verified. In a statement, du said that it had no further comment beyond that which was already stated by the TRA. The TRA said on July 8 that the maintenance of the proxy server, which filters internet use, was the responsibility of Etisalat and du.
"TRA approached both [internet service providers] to confirm the that there was no attempts of any kind of breaches to the proxy systems and they have both confirmed that the systems are not affected nor hacked or breached," the TRA said in a statement at the time. Isac said that there was no grudge against the UAE that prompted the alleged attack. "I'm currently working on other countries that censor," he said. "It's more of a hack anything you can sort of approach. "I don't have a personal vendetta against UAE or anything. I just have a problem with censorship."

Donations Reopened- WikiLeaks Opens New Path Through Banking Siege

Donations Reopened- WikiLeaks Opens New Path Through Banking Siege

After the court victory against the financial blockade imposed by Visa and MasterCard to WikiLeaks donation, now WikiLeaks is opening a new path  in its battle to breakthrough the banking siege. In early Wednesday morning, WikiLeaks announced  via its twitter feed while saying it could now accept donations through a French non-profit.
"After almost two years of fighting an unlawful banking blockade by US financial giants VISA and MasterCard, WikiLeaks has announced it is back open for donations. After WikiLeaks’ publications revealing US war crimes and statecraft in 2010, US financial institutions erected a banking blockade against WikiLeaks wholly outside of any judicial or administrative process. The blockade came during a time of substantial economic growth for WikiLeaks but blocked more than 95% of donations, costing the organization in excess of USD 20 million.
The Wau Holland Transparency Reports for WikiLeaks’ finances, released today, illustrate the financial consequences of 18 consecutive months of economic censorship. For the year 2011, the blockade resulted in WikiLeaks’ income falling to just 21% of its operating costs. WikiLeaks has been forced to run on its cash reserves at the Wau Holland Foundation, which have diminished from EUR 800,000 at the end of December 2010, to less than EUR 100,000 at the end of June 2012. As the graph shows, WikiLeaks’ reserve funds will expire at the current austere rate of expenditure within a few months. In order to effectively continue its mission, WikiLeaks must raise a minimum of EUR 1 million immediately.
Against this background, WikiLeaks is launching a new payment gateway, designed to work around the blockade. The French credit card system, Carte Bleue, is coupled with the VISA/MasterCard system globally. VISA and MasterCard are contractually barred from directly cutting off merchants through the Carte Bleue system. The French non-profit FDNN (Fund for the Defense of Net Neutrality- Fonds de Défense de la Net Neutralité) has set up a Carte Bleue fund for WikiLeaks.
WikiLeaks advises all global supporters to make use of this avenue immediately before VISA/MasterCard attempts to shut it down.
However, WikiLeaks and FDNN are ready for the fight. Julian Assange, WikiLeaks’ founder said: "We beat them in Iceland and, by God, we’ll beat them in France as well. Let them shut it down. Let them demonstrate to the world once again their corrupt pandering to Washington. We’re waiting. Our lawyers are waiting. The whole world is waiting. Do it."

Wikipedia Will Go Dark (Blackout) in Russia to Protest Censorship (Act for Information)

Wikipedia Will Go Dark (Blackout) in Russia to Protest Censorship (Act for Information)

All of us must know that near about six months ago Wikipedia goes offline or in other word Wikipedia gone dark (black out) globally for 24 hours, while showing a massive Web protest in the U.S. over the proposed anti-piracy laws SOPA and PIPA. Yet again it's stepping up again in a major Internet revolt against online censorship in Russia. According to sources the Russian government is currently exploring amendments to the “Act for information”. The proposed changes to the law could lead to sweeping censorship of the Internet, including the complete closure of Wikipedia in Russia
In addition to the proposed amendments to the "Act for Information," the government is also mulling over another bill that harkens back to the country's Soviet past with harsh censorship crackdowns. Under the draft bill, all Web sites that contain pornography or drug references, or that promote suicide or other "extremist ideas," will purportedly face blacklisting. These new laws come in the wake of an online uprising that happened before the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin in May. During these protests, thousands of people took to writing on blogs and social networks demanding a new ballot after claims of rigged votes and electoral corruption during Putin's election.
Wikipedia posted a statement in Russian and asking for everyone’s help by sharing this link and spreading the word about what’s going on. The amendments are being read today and if they’re accepted then a date will be chosen that could in essence, wipe Wikipedia off of the Internet in Russia.

Message of Wikipedia to the World:-
"Lobbyists and activists supporting the amendments, argue that they are directed exclusively against the content such as child pornography "and things like that," but to follow the provisions and wording to be discussed, will result in the creation of a Russian analogue of the "Great Chinese Firewall." The practice of law, which exists in Russia, says a high probability of worst-case scenario, in which access to Wikipedia was soon to be closed across the country."

Gmail Hacked!! State-Sponsored Attackers Accessing Millions of Gmail Accounts Illegally

Gmail Hacked!! State-Sponsored Attackers Accessing Millions of Gmail Accounts Illegally

This year cyber criminals became very busy while penetrating security systems of many leading Industries. Last week we have seen hackers had managed to steal more than 6.5 million passwords of LinkedIn users. Also this week we have seen popular dating site eHarmony faced cyber attacks which causes serious damages. Now its the turn for Internet giant Google. Hackers have managed to breach the tight security system of Google Mail I mean Gmail. According to last report state-sponsored attackers are accessing millions of Gmail accounts illegally. Google unveiled a new warning system to alert Gmail users when it suspects “state-sponsored” attackers are attempting to compromise their accounts or computers using malicious software.

Many China-based Gmail users reported received the warning early Wednesday in the form of a banner message at the top of their email accounts. The warning also reportedly appeared on accounts in the U.S. and Japan.
Google says it cannot provide details on how it knows that specific attacks are government-sponsored. But it said “detailed analysis” and “victim reports” strongly suggest the involvement of governments or state-sponsored groups.
Google VP Security Engineer Eric Grosse wrote, "If you see this warning it does not necessarily mean that your account has been hijacked. It just means that we believe you may be a target, of phishing or malware for example, and that you should take immediate steps to secure your account." However he also makes it clear that if users see that warning, it does not imply "Google's internal systems have been compromised."
Although Google did not mention any specific governments that may be behind the attacks, many technology analysts suggest it may be another chapter in the long-running dispute between Google and China over censorship and web privacy issues.

Supreme Court & Congress Both Denied Anonymous Attack

Supreme Court & Congress Both Denied Anonymous Attack
We all are aware of Anonymous movement regarding the decision of Indian govt for controlling internet content. Immediately after this step, few unnamed hacker claiming to be a part of hacker collective Anonymous engaged cyber attack on India's cyber fence. Supreme Court of India & All India Congress became the victim of that attack. Even one of the legitimate twitter resource of Anonymous said :- "Namaste #India, your time has come to trash the current government and install a new one. Good luck." After this tweet we have seen Supreme Court & Congress website faced denial of service attack which interrupts the service for a certain time. Hacker group Anonymous is believed to have attacked the websites in response to the Centre blocking torrent portal Pirate Bay and video-sharing Vimeo. The group is said to have launched “MT Operation India” to protest the government's censorship plan.
This is not the first time earlier in 2011 hackers from Pakistan have hacked the official website of All India Congress. Also in an attack another Pak Hacker named KhantastiC haXor penetrated the official site of Indian Congress and defaced the Profile page of Party President Sonia Gandhi.
But this time both Supreme Court & Congress completely denies the cyber attack. Congress party's computer department chief Vishwajeet Prithvijeet Singh said-  “The site is not hacked at all. It was not opening for sometime because the load on the particular server was too heavy due to huge number of hits after the news of website hacking spread. It went slow at that time due to over-traffic.”

The Pirate Bay Criticize Anonymous DDoS Attack on Virgin Media

The Pirate Bay Criticize Anonymous DDoS Attack on Virgin Media

Earlier in this month High Court has ruled to block The Pirate Bay in U.K. In action hacker collective Anonymous performed massive denial of service attack which targeted Virgin Media - one of those ISP who immediately followed the Court order and blocked Pirate Bay. It is said that the denial of service attack was simply a tit for tat as Virgin Media is the 1st ISP who instantly followed the High Court order while saying- "As a responsible ISP, Virgin Media complies with court orders addressed to the company but strongly believes that changing consumer behaviour to tackle copyright infringement also needs compelling legal alternatives, such as our agreement with Spotify, to give consumers access to great content at the right price." And this make Anonymous angry with Virgin and as a result they sent Virgin Media offline for a certain time.
But here comes a twist and that is The Pirate Bay has denounced an Anonymous DDoS campaign that took down Virgin Media, calling it an "ugly" method that's no better than the UK court order for ISPs to block users from getting to The Pirate Bay.

In their official statement TPB said - "Seems like some random Anonymous groups have run a DDOS campaign against Virgin media and some other sites. We'd like to be clear about our view on this:
We do NOT encourage these actions. We believe in the open and free internets, where anyone can express their views. Even if we strongly disagree with them and even if they hate us. So don't fight them using their ugly methods. DDOS and blocks are both forms of censorship.
If you want to help; start a tracker, arrange a manifestation, join or start a pirate party, teach your friends the art of bittorrent, set up a proxy, write your political representatives, develop a new p2p protocol, print some pro piracy posters and decorate your town with, support our promo bay artists or just be a nice person and give your mom a call to tell her you love her."
As far as the Anonymous DDoS goes, Virgin Media put out a statement that said the attack lasted one hour. Virgin Media also reiterated that it didn't have a choice to block The Pirate Bay; rather, the government forced its hand.

AnonBin - Anonymous Started A New & Secure Alternative of PasteBin

AnonBin - Anonymous Started A New & Secure Alternative of PasteBin
Hacker collective Anonymous has started a brand new site which will allow users to post material without fear of being tracked down. Anonymous described the new site, dubbed AnonPaste or AnonBin, as a safer site than Pastebin.com, which has been widely used by hackers to post evidence of their exploits. Earlier this month Jeroen Vader, the owner of Pastebin says he planed the make Pastebin censored, and also they will help to crack down hackers who misused pastebin while exposing serious & confidential data. The entire hacker community did maximum criticism of this step, so to keep the anonymity hacker collective Anonymous has started AnonBin which is an opensource online pastebin based off of Zerobin software where the server has zero knowledge of pasted data. Data is encrypted/decrypted in the browser using 256 bits AES. In a joint statement issued Tuesday, Anonymous and a group calling itself the People’s Liberation Front said the new site will allow people to post any material with complete anonymity while keeping the user's identity safe.
Press Release:-
"Anonymous and the Peoples Liberation Front are proud to announce a totally secure and safe alternative to the now infamous PasteBin service. AnonPaste - www.AnonPaste.tk As many might be aware, PasteBin has been in the news lately for making some rather shady claims as to what they are willing to censor, and when they are willing to give up IP addresses to the authorities. And as a recent leak of private E-Mails show clearly, PasteBin is not only willing to give up IP addresses to governments - but apparently has already given many IPs to at least one private security firm. And these leaked E-Mail's also revealed a distinct animosity towards Anonymous. And so the PLF and Anonymous have teamed up to offer a paste service truly free of all such nonsense.
Here is a brief list of some of the features of AnonPaste:
1) No connection logs, period.
2) All pastes are encrypted BY THE BROWSER using 256 bit AES encryption. This means there is no usable paste data stored on the server for the authorities or anyone else to seize.
3) No moderation or censorship. Because the data on our servers is unreadable by us (or anyone), the responsibility for the legality or appropriateness of any paste is the sole responsibility of the person posting. So there will be no need for us to police this service, and in fact we don't even have the ability of deleting any particular paste.
4) No advertisements. This service will be totally user supported through donations. Links for this are available on the web site.
Paste services have become very popular, and many people want to post controversial material. This is especially so for those involved in Information Activism. We feel that it is essential that everyone, and especially those in the movement - have a safe and secure paste service that they can trust with their valuable and often politically sensitive material. As always, we believe in the radical notion that information should be free. SIGNED -- Anonymous and the Staff of the Peoples Liberation Front PLF - www.PeoplesLiberationFront.net ..."

According to the release of the hacker the mail aim of this breach is stand against online censorship. The hacker also threatened that he will leak more details. Its hard to say whether those exposure are legitimate or not. Still the CIA authority is silent about this breach. We would like to give you reminder that this is not the 1st time earlier in 2011 and 2012 CIA has fallen victim of cyber attack. If you dig the history we will find that in 2011 Lulzsec hit CIA & SOCA with massive DDoS attack which immediately sent the website offline for a certain period of time. Worse Than SOPA- CISPA Will Allow Monitoring Any Online Communication (#Censorship)

Worse Than SOPA- CISPA Will Allow Monitoring Any Online Communication #Censorship
In the wake of SOPA and PIPA, there is yet another terrifying bill on the table. The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (or CISPA for short) which is currently being discussed by Congress. The title of this controversial act is H.R. 3523 and it has been dubbed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act. It is feared that CISPA is far worse than SOPA and PIPA in its possible effects on the Internet.
While this paper has been created under the guise of being a necessary weapon in the U.S. war against cyberattacks, the wording of the paper is vague and broad. It is thought that the act could allow Congress to circumvent existing exemptions to online privacy laws and would allow the monitoring and censorship of any user and also stop online communications which they deem disruptive to the government or to private parties. CISPA is described as a “cybersecurity” bill. It proposes to amend the National Security Act of 1947 to allow for greater sharing of “cyber threat intelligence” between the U.S. government and the private sector, or between private companies. The bill defines “cyber threat intelligence” as any information pertaining to vulnerabilities of, or threats to, networks or systems owned and operated by the U.S. government, or U.S. companies; or efforts to “degrade, disrupt, or destroy” such systems or networks; or the theft or “misappropriation” of any private or government information, including intellectual property. CISPA has also been condemned by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an online advocacy group. The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) adds that CISPA’s definition of “cybersecurity” is so broad that “it leaves the door open to censor any speech that a company believes would ‘degrade the network.’” Moreover, the inclusion of “intellectual property” means that companies and the government would have “new powers to monitor and censor communications for copyright infringement.” According to both CDT and EFF, this means some of the largest corporations in the country, including online service providers like Google, Twitter, Facebook or AT&T could, if pressured, copy confidential information from a user and send this information to the Pentagon, as long as the government believes there is a reason to suspect wrongdoing.
Critics warn that CISPA gives private companies the ability to collect and share information about their customers or users with immunity — meaning we cannot sue them for doing so, and they cannot be charged with any crimes.

Anonymous Hacked 2,725 Emails Of Tunisia's Ruling Party Ennahda & Prime Minister

Anonymous Hacked 2,725 Emails Of Tunisia's Ruling Party Ennahda  & Prime Minister of Tunisia
A hacker group named Anonymous Tunisia (Anonymous TN) claimed that it has hacked over 2,725 emails belonging to Tunisia's ruling Ennahda party, including those of the prime minister, in the latest challenge to the Islamist-led government. The activist said the emails include phone numbers, bank transactions and invoices paid during Tunisia's election campaign in October, in which Ennahda won more than 40 percent of parliament seats, going on to lead the government. One of the emails was from Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, a senior Ennahda official, to the Turkish embassy, attaching Foreign Minister Rafik Abdesslem's CV. According to a YouTube video posted by the hacker group said the emails were released in protest against Ennahda's alleged failure to protect the unemployed and artists who were attacked by Salafi Islamists during a recent protest.
"To the Tunisian government, we have kept a large part of your data secret. If you do not wish to see these published on the internet we ask you to work to the best of your ability to avoid internet censorship and to respect human rights and the freedom of expression in Tunisia," the activist said. Government officials declined detailed comment on the security breach but said many of the emails appeared to be old.
Earlier in 2011 hacker from Anonymous has took down several govt. websites of Tunisia. Also few months ago a hacker from hacker collective Anonymous named CaliforniaKB took responsibility of hacking into the Hizb ut-Tahrir -Tunisian Islamist Liberation Party official website. This hack was a part of Operation Tunisia (#OpTunisia). If you talk about mail hack then we would like to give you reminder that couple of months ago Anonymous has hacked into the Syrian President Bashar Assad's E-mail-Id & exposed all the details. Also few weeks ago another hacktvist group named Teamgreyhat has hacked into the email id of Bangladesh Prime Minister.

#Censorship - Pastebin Cracking Down Hackers Post

#Censorship - Pastebin Cracking Down Hacker's Post
After years of use and abuse by hackers, Pastebin is taking a stand by vowing to purge improper use from its servers. The site was originally created in 2002 to host small amounts of text and was intended for programmers looking to store bits of code and configuration information. More recently, the site has been attracting activity from hacker collectives like Anonymous and LulzSec. These hackers have used Pastebin for more dubious and often illegal purposes, including the dumping of personal information, passwords, and credit card details. The data dumps are then linked to Pastebin and promoted on Twitter.
Hacktivists have also used the site to test out the effectiveness of distributed denial of service (DDoS) mechanisms that are designed to take down a website. After seeing so many drama finally 28 year-old Jeroen Vader, the owner of Pastebin says he plans to hire more staff to help remove “sensitive information” posted to the site. Pastebin, which has over 200,000 members as of this weekend and 17 million unique visitors per month, is the de facto choice for hackers who want to publicly post data they have stolen from their targets. Hacker pastes ranges from something simple, like a list of sites that have been hacked, to very detailed information, including administrator credentials for website servers, credit card numbers, phone numbers, e-mail addresses with corresponding passwords, and even home addresses. Pastebin currently relies on an abuse report system, which gets 1,200 warnings a day. It’s not keeping up, so it’s about to get some more manpower. In his interview Vader said :-
I am looking to hire some extra people soon to monitor more of the website’s content, not just the items that are reported. Hopefully this will increase the speed in which we can remove sensitive information. This will give us more time to look at trending items in detail if they haven’t been reported yet. Often articles contain a lot of information, and part of that can be a person’s details. This does not mean straight away that it should be removed. Reading all those items, and determining which ones are hurtful, and which ones aren’t, requires a lot of time. That’s why we rely on the abuse report system at the moment. But there are plans to improve on this.
Hacktivist Anonymous did maximum criticism of this step taken by Pastebin. The YourAnonNews Twitter account summarizes the group’s stance quite succinctly: Srsly Pastebin, f*** you - @Pastebin to hire staff to tackle hackers’ ’sensitive’ posts | http://bit.ly/HixoFQ All aboard the Censor Ship!
For its part, Pastebin is reportedly trying to calm everyone down. Here’s what a Pastebin admin reportedly posted on the Anonymous Central Tumblr: Hey guys, I’m from Pastebin.com and would like to speak to someone from @anonops via email. Could someone email admin@pastebin.com please? Would like to set some stuff straight, as a lot of news sites are reporting false stories now about how Pastebin is against Anonymous all the sudden.
