Apple Released Safari 5.1 With lots of New Features

Safari 5.1 is now available to download and introduces full screen mode, new multi-touch gestures, Reading List, and a whole lot more. The download is available via Software Update on your Mac or from Apple’s website, and is compatible with Macs running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and above, and Windows PCs running XP, Vista or Windows 7. It’s been available to developers for some time, so those of you running the Lion beta before its release may already be familiar with its new features.
The update introduces Reading List, Apple’s Instapaper-like service that allows you to save articles, videos, and links to a list that you can access later. The service will also sync with iOS devices with the introduction of iOS 5 this fall.
Safari 5.1 also packs Safari Reader, which allows you to read websites and articles in a “clean, uncluttered space free from blinking, annoying ads.”
Multi-touch gestures allow you to control Safari by simply swiping, tapping and pinching your Magic Trackpad. Swipe forward and backwards to switch back and forth between pages, and double-tap with two fingers or pinch to zoom in and out.
Full screen web browsing allows you to browse your favourite websites without distractions from other applications
This update contains new features including:

- Reading List: Easily add webpages and links to your Reading List to browse when you have time.
- New Process Architecture: Safari has been re-engineered for improved stability and responsiveness.
- Resume: In the General pane of Safari preferences, you can now choose to launch Safari with the windows from your last browsing session.
- Better Privacy: A new Privacy pane in Safari preferences makes it easy to remove data that websites can leave on your system.

Other improvements include:
  • - Private AutoFill: Safari lets you fill out forms quickly while keeping your personal information private.
  • - Find Option: When you use Find, you can choose whether you want to search for text that contains or starts with the text that you type in the search field.
  • - Drag-and-drop Downloads: You can drag items out of the Downloads window in Safari, so you can easily place downloaded files on the Desktop.
  • - Advanced Web Technologies: Safari introduces support for full-screen webpages, media caching with the HTML5 application cache, MathML, Web Open Font Format, CSS3 Auto-hyphenation, CSS3 Vertical Text, CSS3 Text Emphasis, Window.onError, and Formatted XML files.
  • - New Extension APIs: Developers can take advantage of new Safari Extension support for popovers, menus, new event classes, and interaction with Reader.
Safari 5.1 for Snow Leopard requires Mac OS X 10.6.5 or later.

Apple has also released a minor Safari 5.0.6 update for Mac OS X Leopard, bringing several improvements related to WebSocket web applications, HTML5 annotations, and display of content within frames on sites such as pandora.com.

Lead Member Of Lulzsec Arrested in London

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's E-Crime Unit in London arrested a 16-year-old boy in South London Tuesday afternoon, the latest arrest in an international sting operation targeting the notorious hacker groups Anonymous and LulzSec.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told FoxNews.com that one of the hackers remains in custody in a Central London police station on suspicion of breaching the Computer Misuse Act -- and that the teen was believed to be linked to the LulzSec hacker group and the larger group of "hacktivists" that go by the collective handle "Anonymous."

U.S. law enforcement officials confirmed to FoxNews.com that the arrest of the juvenile hacker, who goes by the online user name Tflow, was the latest in a sweeping sting of arrests Tuesday, in which 16 suspected hackers were arrested in states across the country, as FoxNews.com first reported.

The arrests began early Tuesday morning with a series of raids in New York, FoxNews.com reported. The arrests and the 30 to 40 search warrants issued by the feds Tuesday are part of an ongoing investigation into hackers believed to have been involved in carrying out nationwide coordinated distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on multiple high-profile, billion-dollar companies.

Computer equipment was taken from the address for further investigation, the Met Police spokesman said.
The Dutch National Police Agency arrested four individuals today for alleged related cyber crimes, according to a Department of Justice indictment.

Joomla 1.7.0 Released

The Joomla Project is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Joomla 1.7.0. This is a security release. This is also the first release made within the new six-month release cycle that started with the delivery of Joomla 1.6 in January 2011.
The Production Leadership Team's goal is to continue to provide regular, frequent updates to the Joomla community. Learn more about Joomla! developement at the Developer Site.
To improve the platform's security, Joomla! 1.7 offers a new one-click version updating mechanism that allows users to update a site to the latest stable version with a single click. A built-in updater is also included for Joomla! and extensions. The developers hope that this will help users keep up to date with the latest version so that they are not vulnerable to any security holes found in previous versions.
Mark Dexter of the Joomla Production Leadership Team said that "the user community placed a large emphasis on making the CMS installation process as simple as possible and new versions more frequent. This will allow users to more easily and frequently migrate to the latest version of Joomla, and take advantage of all the security benefits associated with running the newest code."
Other changes include the ability to create a search menu option with pre-defined search options, improved example code for various plug-in types that developers can use to create custom extensions, an option to automatically validate form data, and multi-language improvements. The platform (libraries folder) has been split from the CMS itself in order to allow the platform "to be enhanced outside of Joomla and used for other types of development projects". The latest update also addresses a medium priority cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability found in version 1.6.5 and all earlier 1.6.x versions. The developers note that version 1.6.5 will reach its end of life on 19 August 2011, Joomla! 1.7 will have a support cycle of seven months, and long term support will be active for 15 months from version 1.8. All users are advised to update as soon as possible; upgrade instructions are provided.

Obama Hired a Team to protect Pentagon Networks From Cyberattack

An elite team of computer technicians assembled by the Obama administration to protect Pentagon networks from cyberattack shockingly includes a former Clinton official who “lost” thousands of archived emails under subpoena and who more recently left the Department of Homeland Security under an ethical cloud related to her qualifications, WND has learned.
The administration in May quietly hired Laura Callahan for a sensitive post at the U.S. Cyber Command, a newly created agency set up to harden military networks as part of an effort to prevent a “cyberspace version of Pearl Harbor.”

The move raises doubts about the administration’s vetting process for sensitive security positions. In 2004, Callahan was forced to resign from Homeland Security after a congressional investigation revealed she committed résumé fraud and lied about her computer credentials.
Investigators found that Callahan paid a diploma mill thousands of dollars for her bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in computer science. She back-dated the degrees, all obtained between 2000 and 2001, to appear as if she earned them in 1993, 1995 and 2000, respectively. She landed the job of deputy DHS chief information officer in 2003.

Microsoft adCenter Dragged Yahoo Revenue Down

Yahoo's quarterly revenue suffered for the second straight quarter at the hands of Microsoft's adCenter technology, the system for buying and delivering online ads.
The Web giant today posted second-quarter revenue excluding traffic acquisition costs of $1.08 billion. That was a bit below analyst expectations of $1.11 billion. It's also a 5 percent decrease from the second quarter of 2010. Yahoo blamed its search agreement with Microsoft. The agreement with Microsoft also led Yahoo to post revenue below expectations in the first quarter.
Display advertising also came in light, something Yahoo Chief Executive Carol Bartz also blamed on a recent management shuffle.
"We experienced softness in display revenue in the second half of the quarter due to comprehensive changes we have made in our sales organization to position ourselves for more rapid display growth in the future," Bartz said in a statement.
Net earnings at Yahoo hit $237 million, up 11 percent from the year-ago period.

Message Of ZHC:-

"...[United we stand , Divided We Fall]

Free Kashmir .. Freedom is our goal..// End the Occupation. . . .

This institutionalized impunity with which the killings of civilians by military and police forces in Jammu and Kashmir continues should be a source of shame for India which propagates to be a democracy!

Kashmir does not want militarized governance - STOP killing children, raping women and imprisoning the men! They just want freedom! Freedom from the evil of the Indian Military!

You will never kill the Kashmiri spirit and remember one thing India; Ghandi himself said - Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living?

Everyday 100s of innocent people are abused, raped and even killed in Kashmir by the indian army, a third of the deaths are children, - we dont want war, take back your men, your tanks and your guns and go back to where you came from, all we ask is for freedom, you can kill us but you cant kill us all, we shall not give up, giving up is not an option.

who are the real soldiers? the childs holding stones or the Army men holding guns?...."
