Anonymous Released Sensitive Conference Call Between FBI & Scotland Yard

Anonymous Released Sensitive Conference Call Between FBI & Scotland Yard

Hacktivist Anonymous continuing their F**k Friday rampage. In the last Friday they have recorded & released a sensitive conference call between the FBI and Scotland Yard. The group released a roughly 15-minute-long recording of what appears to be a Jan. 17 conference call devoted to tracking and prosecuting members of the loose-knit hacking group and its spinoff group LulzSec. FBI source said that "The information was intended for law enforcement," the source also told that those responsible will be held accountable.
The authenticity of the recording could not be immediately verified and it's unclear how the hacking group obtained it. Names of some of the suspects being discussed were apparently edited from the recording. "The information was illegally obtained and a criminal investigation is underway," FBI spokesman Tim Flannelly told FoxNews.com. He did not provide any additional details.
If authentic, the discussion itself appears quite sensitive. Those on the call talk about what legal strategy to pursue in the cases of Ryan Cleary and Jake Davis -- two British suspects linked to Anonymous -- and discuss details of the evidence gathered against other suspects "We've set back arrests of Kayla and T-flow until we know what's happening,"
In a pastebin Anon also released a email titled "Anon-Lulz International Coordination Call" with with all the email-ids of FBI & Scotland Yard officers, time, Access Code and detailed time. In their twitter AnoymousIRC said "The FBI might be curious how we're able to continuously read their internal comms for some time now."
Anon made the conference call available for download in mp3 and also released a YouTube video

LulzSec Spokesman Busted By Scotland Yard

Scotland Yard's cybercrime unit has arrested a teenager it suspects of working as the spokesman for the Lulz Security hacking collective, officials said Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police's Central e-Crime Unit arrested a 18-year-old at an address in Scotland's remote Shetland Islands, the force said in a statement. His name wasn't released, but police said he was believed to be "Topiary," one of LulzSec's most prominent members.
Police originally gave his age as 19 but later issued a correction.
LulzSec shot to prominence in May with attacks on the US Public Broadcasting Service - whose website it defaced by posting a bogus story claiming that the late rapper Tupac Shakur had been discovered alive in New Zealand.
The group is a spin-off of Anonymous, an amorphous collection of Internet enthusiasts, pranksters and activists whose targets have included the Church of Scientology, the music industry, and financial companies including Visa and MasterCard.
Topiary was linked to both groups, serving as the on-again, off-again media liaison for the publicity-hungry hackers.
In his only known television interview, on the "David Pakman Show" earlier this year, Topiary phoned in via Skype to feud with Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church, a Kansas-based group notorious for picketing the funerals of slain American soldiers.
Anonymous vandalised the church's website live over the course of the interview.
In conversations with The Associated Press, Topiary said he controlled LulzSec's Twitter feed, which garnered some 300,000 followers over the course of its six-week-long Internet rampage.
LulzSec has claimed responsibility for breaches at pornography websites, gaming companies, and law enforcement organisations. It's also claimed credit for harassing seemingly random targets including an obscure New Jersey-based magnet manufacturer.
One its most spectacular hacks was against Sony Pictures Entertainment. The group posted the usernames, passwords, email addresses and phone numbers of tens of thousands of people, many of whom had given Sony their information for sweepstakes draws. Another stinging series of breaches last month targeted Arizona's police force in protest against its contentious immigration law. Officers had to scramble to change their numbers because their phones were being jammed with calls.
Shortly thereafter the group abruptly announced it was disbanding, although Topiary said at the time that the group wasn't bowing to police pressure.
"We're not quitting because we're afraid of law enforcement," he said in a Skype call. "The press are getting bored of us, and we're getting bored of us."
Attempts to reach Topiary since then have been unsuccessful, although his group recently re-emerged from retirement, defacing The Sun newspaper's website with a fake story claiming that media tycoon Rupert Murdoch had died. In one of its last messages, LulzSec said it was working with unnamed media outlets on a WikiLeaks-style release of emails it claimed to have stolen from the tabloid.
Topiary's once-plentiful Twitter feed was practically wiped clean Wednesday. The only remaining post, from nearly a week ago, read: "You cannot arrest an idea."
The latest arrest is one of an increasing number claimed by law enforcement in Britain and the United States in connection to their investigations into Anonymous and its offshoots. Last week, the FBI, British and Dutch officials carried out 21 arrests, many of them related to the group's attacks on Internet payment provider PayPal Inc., which has been targeted over its refusal to process donations to WikiLeaks.
Last month another 19-year-old, Ryan Cleary, was charged with attacks on Britain's Serious Organized Crime Agency and various UK-based music sites. Although at least one of the attacks he was charged with seemed linked to LulzSec, Topiary claimed at the time that Cleary was at most only tangentially involved with the group.
Scotland Yard said Wednesday it was also searching a residential address in Lincolnshire, in central England, and interviewing an unnamed 17-year-old in connection with the investigation. The second teen has not been arrested.

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Got Extradition Letter From British Police

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Got Extradition Letter From British Police
Julian Assange may be holed up at the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he is seeking political asylum, but that hasn't stopped British law enforcement officials from serving him a letter of extradition. According to reports, the letter, penned by none other than Scotland Yard, demanded the 40-year-old Assange visit a police station "at a time of our choosing." "This is standard procedure in extradition cases and is the first step in the removal process," a Scotland Yard spokesperson told the press. "He remains in breach of his bail conditions and failure to surrender would be a further breach of those conditions and he is liable to arrest."

Assange entered the Ecuadorian embassy in London on June 19 after all attempts to fight extradition to Sweden - where the WikiLeaks founder faces charges of sexual assault - failed. Assange, who denies the accusations, is concerned that extradition to Sweden could ultimately lead to his eventual transfer to the United States. Then earlier in this year hacktivist Anonymous stood against the extradition of the Wikileaks founder
He denies the accusations but has lost a string of appeals in British courts to avoid being handed over to Sweden’s judiciary for questioning. Assange says his chief fear is that this would lead to further extradition to the United States, where he could face trial for Wikileaks’ actions. He was under house arrest with an order to present himself daily to the nearest police station when he broke bail and took refuge in the Ecuadorean Embassy. The customary dry statement from Scotland Yard announced that authorities had issued “a surrender notice upon a 40-year-old man that requires him to attend a police station at date and time of our choosing. This is standard practice in extradition cases and is the first step in the removal process.”
The statement added he was in breach of bail conditions and would be subject to arrest if he failed to surrender. On Sunday, Ecuadorean Ambassador Anna Alban flew to her homeland to brief the government there on Assange’s situation. Assange is supported by WikiLeaks fans from all over the world who in the past appeared at Assange’s every public appearance with banners saying “Free Assange, Free Bradley Manning,” the latter a reference to the U.S. Army analyst who awaits trial in the United States on charges of releasing the original discs with the official documents published by WikiLeaks.
“There is a strong likelihood that once in Sweden, he would be imprisoned and ... likely extradited to the United States," they stated, adding: "Were he charged and found guilty under the Espionage Act, Assange could face the death penalty.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling Was Also The Victim UK Phone Hacking Scandal

In the ongoing investigation into the U.K. phone hacking scandal, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has been identified as one of the main targets of the illegal operations.
The phone hacking and privacy violations have created quite a stir as journalists at News International has been accused of the crimes and names such as actress Sienna Miller, Member of the Parliament Tessa Jowell and Price William have been identified as victims of the crime.
The investigation into the phone hacking has been building for months and recently Scotland Yard has demanded that the news groups reveal their phone-hacking sources, which the paper is presently refusing to do. Some investigation into the claims also includes belief that members of Scotland Yard itself were helping cover up the phone hacking until the doors blew off.
News Corporation, the parent company of News International, is chaired by Rupert Murdoch. While Murdoch is trying to keep his hands clean of the situation, his son James Murdoch has been called in to answer a number of questions in the case. The phone hacking scandal has caused the termination and resignation of a number of individuals at News International.
The recent news with J.K. Rowling named as a victim comes after revelations of the investigation led to an inquiry, which will take place in October 2011. Other than Rowling, Sienna Miller and Hugh Grant, the parents of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler testified that their phone was hacked while the police were still searching for their daughter.
Rowling, one of Britain's richest individuals thanks to Harry Potter is a reluctant public figure, fighting back in court against the media when pictures of her children have been published.

More than 70 Police Websites Hacked in Response to #Op-Topiary (#Antisec)

AntiSec, the hacker group made of members from Anonymous and LulzSec, said Saturday that it has hacked more than 70 law enforcement agency websites in the U.S. in retaliation of recent arrests of alleged AntiSec members in the U.S. and the U.K.
The group, which has previously lodged attacks against law enforcement in Arizona, also said it was able to access 10 gigabytes of emails, credit card details and other sensitive data from the agencies.

And in a move that will infuriate law enforcement further, AntiSec called this cyber attack "ShootingSheriffsSaturday."
"A week after we defaced and destroyed the websites of over 70 law enforcement agencies, we are releasing a massive amount of confidential information that is sure to embarass, discredit and incriminate police officers across the US," AntiSec said in a statement posted on the website PasteBin, which has become a favorite place for the hackers to post the information they've stolen.

"Over 10GB of information was leaked including hundreds of private email spools, password information, address and social security numbers, credit card numbers, snitch information, training files, and more. We hope that not only will dropping this info demonstrate the inherently corrupt nature of law enforcement using their own words, as well as result in possibly humiliation, firings, and possible charges against several officers, but that it will also disrupt and sabotage their ability to communicate and terrorize communities."

Many of the agencies had no immediate comment on the hackings, while others expressed confusion as to what information was hacked.
In Mississippi, the Tunica County Sheriff's office was aware that their website was down, but did not know much beyond that, said Lt. Persundra Jones

“We don’t what’s really going on,” Jones said. “We have no idea.”

In Tishomingo County, sheriff’s officials alerted the FBI and the company that oversees the website, who promptly shut it down, said dispatcher Edric Parish.
AntiSec said in its statement that it was "doing this in solidarity with Topiary and the Anonymous PayPal LOIC defendants as well as all other political prisoners who are facing the gun of the crooked court system. We stand in support of all those who struggle against the injustices of the state and capitalism using whatever tactics are most effective, even if that means breaking their laws in order to expose their corruption.

"You may bust a few of us, but we greatly outnumber you, and you can never stop us from continuing to destroy your systems and leak your data."

The most recent arrest of suspected hackers affiliated with Anonymous and LulzSec, was that of 18-year-old Jake Davis. England's Metropolitan Police Service, better known as Scotland Yard, has said it believes Davis is the "Topiary," a hacker who has acted as a spokesman for the groups.

Davis was released on bail Monday, but a London court ordered that he be prohibited from using the Internet.

"We have no sympathy for any of the officers or informants who may be endangered by the release of their personal information," AntiSec said in its statement. "For too long they have been using and abusing our personal information, spying on us, arresting us, beating us, and thinking that they can get away with oppressing us in secrecy. Well it's retribution time: we want them to experience just a taste of the kind of misery and suffering they inflict upon us on an everyday basis. Let this serve as a warning to would-be snitches and pigs that your leaders can no longer protect you: give up and turn on your masters now before it's too late."
In a bit of a departure from the Arizona-targeted cyber attacks, the law enforcement agencies AntiSec says it hacked were mainly in the central and southern parts of the U.S., including agencies in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri and Mississippi.

The lawyer for Assange Mobile Hacked

The lawyer for wikileaks founder Julian Assange says he may be among the people hacked by Rupert Murdoch's now-shuttered "News of the World" newspaper in the U.K.
In a tweet, high-profile lawyer Mark Stephens said he may have been hacked along with other lawyers, and was awaiting a police meeting.
Stephens is representing Assange in a sexual assault case in Sweden.

Mr Stephens told Britain's Channel 4 News he contacted Scotland Yard to ask if his phone had been targeted. He said: "I asked them if I'd been hacked - they came back to me in 90 mins and said yes. "It confirmed my worst suspicions," he told the British TV channel. Mr Stephens's former clients include James Hewitt, who had an affair with Princess Diana, and most recently the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange
Britain's "News of the World" newspaper was shutdown this month after allegations the paper's journalists paid police for information and hacked into the voicemails of young murder victims and the grieving families of dead soldiers.
The paper is owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who was grilled by the U.K. Parliament this week over the abuse of journalistic practices by that paper.

Anon & Lulzsec Respond Against The FBI

Hacker groups Anonymous and LulzSec have issued a joint statement in response to recent FBI arrests of suspected Anonymous members thought to have carried out a cyberattack against PayPal in 2010.
In their release, the hackers addressed a statement made to NPR by Steven Chabinsky, deputy assistant FBI director. "We want to send a message that chaos on the Internet is unacceptable," Chabinsky told NPR. "[Even if] hackers can be believed to have social causes, it's entirely unacceptable to break into websites and commit unlawful acts."
The hacker collectives responded with a list of what they define as "unacceptable" practices:

* Governments lying to their citizens and inducing fear and terror to keep them in control by dismantling their freedom piece by piece.
* Corporations aiding and conspiring with said governments while taking advantage at the same time by collecting billions of funds for federal contracts we all know they can't fulfil.
* Lobby conglomerates who only follow their agenda to push the profits higher, while at the same time being deeply involved in governments around the world with the only goal to infiltrate and corrupt them enough so the status quo will never change.
With regards to the arrests of alleged members of Anonymous by the FBI, the hackers wrote, "Your threats to arrest us are meaningless to us as you cannot arrest an idea.  There is nothing - absolutely nothing - you can possibly to do make us stop."
According to the AP, the FBI on Tuesday arrested 14 people across the United States and confiscated computers in connection with the PayPal attack. Another two were arrested for unrelated activities. In addition, Britain's Scotland Yard took into custody one person, and the Dutch National Police Agency arrested four.

A new guy Busted in UK for Celebrity's Voicemail Hacking Case

A reporter for Britain’s Press Association wire service has been arrested on suspicion of hacking into the voicemails of celebrities. Scotland Yard said that it had questioned Laura Elston about allegations that she had intercepted telephone calls in violation of British law. Her arrest appeared to signal that police are widening their investigation of voicemail hacking, although they have maintained that it is limited in scope to the British tabloid News of the World. It was not known whether Elston ever worked for the Sunday tabloid. Last week they arrested another female journalist, Terenia Taras, on similar charges. Taras is the ex-girlfriend of a News of the World former assistant editor.

Special Offer From Lulzsec: Catch Me If You Can

"Catch Me If You Can" yes you all are right the famous Hollywood  Movie of Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio on Social Engineering, one of the Un-patched vulnerability ever.  Now Lulzsec one  of the most wanted hacker group  over the whole spectrum is exactly saying or we can say repeating the same words Catch Me If You Can LulzSec‘s tracks are still under observation by US authorities to get over this catch-me-if-you-can hacking group. Traversing through the hackers, left marks in Scotland Yard, authorities have trapped total of four suspected targets.
The LulzSec is also thought to be behind the Federal LLC (a U.S.-based security company) attack. The operational hacking strategies, used in this attack, were given a pseudonym-“Kayla.”
According to the US law enforcement agencies, 2011 has been entitled the year of hackers and security violation. Series of prestigious security breaches, by Anonymous (The hacking group), included breaches of agricultural company Monsanto and NATO, U.S. military contractor, Booz Allen Hamilton. Whereas the LulzSec group was involved in setting targets to take down, especially U.S. Senate, PBS, the CIA, sites and many more.
Though, searches and efforts were being carried out by the authorities worldwide to fight against this blatant LulzSec group, but still it seems challenging to trace them out. During these searches, sixteen people were eventually arrested by US officials for their cyber attacks on PayPal.
The streak of security breaches continues regardless of whatever efforts are being put by the authorities, it looks like as the group tends to play hide and seek on long term basis. Later on, a law enforcement site belonging to Texas Police Chiefs Association got hit by unusual malicious acts of Anonymous group.
Unlike the better-known Anonymous hacking group, LulzSec cyber attacks are not launched on the basis of political motivation, but the hacking group has strong connections with “antiSec” movement and do consider political reasons as their foundation to hit the specified target. The malicious acts of LulzSec are definitely entertaining them at one side, but a big loss of sensitive information on other.

25 Years Old Guy Busted While Attempting to Hack Facebook Server

A  25 year old Brit allegedly used "considerable technical expertise" to hack into Facebook's servers.
Student Glenn Steven Mangham from York is currently on trial at Westminster magistrates' court for five charges under the Computer Misuse Act including adapting, supplying or offering to supply  software that ensures users can hack into Facebook's servers.

Mangham was arrested by the Metropolitan Police's Central e-Crime Unit in June this year for "computer hacking offences".
It is alleged that that between April 27 and May 9, Mangham hacked into a Facebook puzzle server that allows developers to test their skills, several times. Furthermore, it is also alleged he attempted to hack into a Facebook mailman server run that manages email distribution lists, as well as trying to gain access to the Facebook phabricator server, which offers tools for third-party app developers.
"This is what can be described as a hacking case," lawyer for the prosecution, Matthew McCabe, said.
While on bail, Mangham has been barred from accessing the web from any device.

"The court feels it will be safer if there was no access to the internet which will reduce the temptation for your son to go on to Facebook," said Judge Nicholas Evans, who is preceding over the case.

Facebook said no personal details had been compromised during the attempted hacks and the social network had been working with Scotland Yard and the FBI as they "take any attempt to hack our internal systems extremely seriously".
According to a news daily
"this is one of the first investigations into a hacking attempt on the social network and detectives were not aware of any hacking attempts "to this extent".

Police uncover evidence of hundreds more hacked phones

Phone hacking investigation: Jude Law and his former girlfriend Sienna Miller both sued the News of the World. Miller settled out of court. Photograph: Yui Mok/PA
The Metropolitan police holds evidence that could prove hundreds of people had their phones hacked by the News of the World, Scotland Yard told the high court, a far greater number than had previously been believed.
Barristers for the Metropolitan police said notes seized from Glenn Mulcaire, the private investigator on the paper's books, showed he made a note of 149 mobile phone pin numbers and around 400 unique voicemail numbers. Both are used to access messages left on mobile phones.
Jason Beer QC, for the Metropolitan police, told a high court hearing the figures were: "a snap shot in time as of last week". Until Friday, the police had maintained Mulcaire kept a record of just 91 pin numbers.
The true extent of the investigator's activities is only now becoming apparent as Operation Wheeting, the new police investigation into phone-hacking at the News of the World which began in January, continues. Mulcaire's targets included the actor Jude Law, who is suing the paper for breach of privacy.
Law's case was joined the list of test cases that will be tried next year, along with that of Labour MP Chris Bryant, a former Europe minister.
Justice Vos, the judge assigned to take charge of all the hacking claims, said they would be added to three other test cases which were chosen last month – those of the agent Sky Andrew, interior designer Kelly Hoppen and football pundit Andy Gray.
Law's former girlfriend Sienna Miller was also scheduled to have her case against the News of the World heard next year but she indicated last week she would accept damages of £100,000 from the paper's publisher, News Group Newspapers.
The damages that will be awarded in each of the fives test cases, should they be successful, are likely to vary because each of them alleges a different level of criminal wrongdoing by Mulcaire and the News of the World.
Vos raised the prospect of imposing exemplary damages on parent company News International. They are set at a level high enough to punish the company for its behaviour and deter others from committing the same crime, and are often a percentage of a company's profits.
"It's one thing for a journalist to say 'I'm desperate to get a story'," Vos said. "It's another thing for the chief executive of a company to say 'I'm desperate to make more money by getting stories in this evil way'."
Vos added: "Was there a conspiracy between Mulcaire and News Group Newspapers to intercept voicemail messages? The answer is yes there was. Was it an agreement between the board of directors of NGN? ... I will have to determine the answer."

Anonymous Hacker Arrested After British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) Hack
According to a news release by Scotland Yard, officers from the Police Central e-Crime Unit (PeCU) arrested the man, who has been linked to the Anonymous hacktivist group, at an address in Wednesbury in the West Midlands. The suspect was a 27 Years old man who has been charged for defacing and hacking into the website of Britain's largest single abortion provider. Official website of The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) was compromised yesterday, with a message from a hacker calling themselves "Pablo Escobar". The hacker claimed himself as a part of Anonymous. BPAS claimed that there were "about 26,000 attempts" to break into its website over a six-hour period.
For a certain period of time yesterday, visitors to the BPAS website saw an anti-abortion message. In a series of tweets, someone using the name "Pablo Escobar" claimed that the names of women who had undergone abortions had been accessed from the BPAS site, and would be released today (Friday). It appears that the authorities moved quickly to reduce the possibility of personal details of people who had contacted the BPAS site being made public.
This month is going worse and worse for Anonymous and their supporters, 1st Operation Unmask by Interpol, then FBI arrested all the key members of Lulzsec with the help of former Anon leader Sabu and so on.
